As most of you are probably aware, George Stroumboulopolous has left Muchmusic.

I just sat through the debut episode of CBC Newsworld's 'The Hour' hosted by none other than George himself. Current events and news issues that matter done by a guy who at least identifies with the younger generation. You old farts can keep Dan Rather. The guy who hosted the punk show and The New Music doing the news... who would have thought?

Thanks George and CBC for actually making the news cool again.

I got a chance to talk to George after Halabaloo back a couple years ago, he was pretty decent, it's cool seeing an icon promoting news.

Most def. a good show. Enjoyed his shows since he worked a radio station in Kelowna quite a few years ago. Anytime he was interviewing anybody, from a full blown rockstar to some obscure punk band they where always good.

Yeah, exactly Sean personaly it makes me sick, us guys are trying to have a civilized conversation about a excellent hour of top of the line journalism and news reporting.

When all these girls hi-jack our thread and all they can talk about is how "hot" this guy is or how much they want to "do" him.

I'm getting pretty sick of it myself and this thread has merely reinforced the that stereotype for me.

Back to the actual thread - George is one of the best things to happen to Canadian television in the last 10 years period.
