I would get a manual car. It a little tricky at first, especially if you live aorund hills.
Once you get the hang of it you will love it.
If you are planning to get the car in your avatar then you BETTER get a manual cause an auto in that car will be lame:)

My first car was a standard, soooo much more fun to drive. Then it got written off :( Some guy from Surrey ran a red as I was going through the intersection

You get used to it... if you have a clutch like in a Honda Civic it's got no pressure it'll be fine. I've driven around in a vehicle with a triple plate clutch and I've driven split axle Diesels... NOW THAT IS A FRICTION POINT!!!

you have a lot more contol over your vehicle when driving manual. it's not really annoying, it becomes second nature really.

Standard by far. It first you'll be a bit weary of hills and crowded situations, random stallings and that kinda shit. Tough it out! After awhile you get used to it and will never go back. You can excellerate or slow down very fast. Adjusting your speed and flying around corners is a breeze. After awhile you do the hand and foot motions automatically.

standard in a car ESPECIALLY with a small engine
any kinda sporty car or something go with a standard.... they're lame with an auto... you cant corner and got less power and less control
i would NEVER touch anything with a four cyl engine if it was auto.. they're just totally gutless
if your looking at trucks or SUVs or bigger sedans or something with at least a V6 inside, it doesn't matter as much
