Ok so i came from the middle east to canada about 3 years ago

like the title says, i'm half arab - half hungarian, i lived in United Arab Emirates for about 14 years of my life and thought that it wouldnt be a bad idea to share pictures of the cities there (2 mainly). No offence or anything, i just wasnt that impressed with the urban high-rises when i came here to canada :P

I can't speak for all of Canada, but Vancouver's never been known for its high rises and cityscape. I like how there's a nice mix of nature and buildings. I hear they're planning on turning Vancouver into a megacity like Toronto and New York. Hmmm.

:P true, i love living in Canada tho, the living expenses over there are insane, renting an appartment would cost an average of $60,000 Canadian a year :P and you couldnt buy a house cuz it would cost about $600,000 for an appartment.

Jobs are really hard to get! omg, so yea Canada is a better place to live for a reason i love canada!

well, I think (and correct me if I'm wrong on this, xxViceRoyxx. I'm goin' off what I know from people who used to live in Kuwait before '91) that the division between the poor and the wealthy is MUCH bigger in the UAEbut that a lot of the poverty is swept under the carpet and out of cities.

Yes that is basically summing it up perfectly bobman, poverty and class division havent changed much since the early 90s, the gap between the rich and poor is HUGE! beyond reasonable, they even built a city outside Abu dhabi and swept all the poor community over there 30 km way from the city -_-, my father worked with an oil company at the time Twisted Angel, he made about $40,000 a month plus benefits, yet after quitting his job (mid life crisis) and depleeting the $150,000 he got for a settlement within 1 year, we couldnt support living there nemore so instead of moving into the city outside of Abu Dhabi and being labelled as poor by their standards there, we moved to Canada and live within the Middle Class over here. Plus education and job availability over here in Canada are alot better.
