Hey, fuck that. Every party I go to I am dressed up in something bright and fuzzy and wearing kandi. I don't do drugs at parties anymore. I am silly a happy go lucky respecting person at every party I go to. And no, I'm not 14, I'm 22. It's about having fun and enjoying the music.

i hate to say it love, but you are obviously in that one percent. i don't WANT to agree, but i have to because i been to MAD parties okay? like MADDDD parties... 2-3 every weekend for the last 6 months.. and mad frequently for the years prior.

I can find you 10 at a party. I knew and still know some candy kids that don't do drugs, but ya for the most part i do find most to be fake and not true to themselves.

If you can wear candy, not do drugs and just be there for a good time and the music than ya props. I was like that but most candy kids these days just seem so fake. As in they go and dress like that to fit in and get attention, and also yea as tayfoon stated to do drugs.

Uh dude...I think this bet could be extended to to everyone at raves...Lets face it, most people at parties are either high, drunk or stoned they're all just as bad as one another just for different reasons...Personally, I'd much rather talk to someone who is high or stoned than someone who is drunk but that's just my opinion...

I don't thinkn their good shit, and i think that scene is and should remain dead. Its not the same as it once was.

One thing i don't like is the stereotyping, not j ust candy k ids but pretty schoolkids, thugs and wanna be thugs, 40 year old asians. They all do copious amounts of e. The only thing different is they are dressed normally.

Anyway.. I just read this thread again and I want to add.

I have NEVER EVER done drugs in all the parties I have gone to. And to those who know me, you know I was a big kandy kid.

Except for one party (in Theatre E) where I was drunked, I was completely sober at everything else.

Just to add: Now, I don't wear kandy, and I've only done weed and alcohol.

Though it has already been said in a few ways.......YOUR AN IDIOT!!!!!!!........just because some one is a candy kid does not mean that they must be 14 and high on e......Granted alot of them are on some form of drug so are most of everyone else at the rave........and for your information alot of candy kids that are around now a days (of the few that are) are all about 17 years old and above...

Also you can not say that only 14 year old kids ripped on e give each other light shows........I have found that light shows are injoyed by ppl of all ages and groups......not just candy kids.......in fact at Godspeed 2 alone most of the light shows I gave were to ppl over the age of 14

As for it being just a bullshit excuse to do drugs.......I can think of alot better/easier excuses than becoming a candy kid.......to go candy kid to raves just as an excuse to do drugs is more work than it's good for......it takes alot of time to make the candy, get the clothes and get dressed when if all your looking for is a reason to do drugs why not either go in normal clothes (alot easier) or just stay home and have your own party (alot cheaper and easier)

I honestly I agree. After I had left GODSPEED 2 and was looking over my candy I had been given to me - I realized how great of a thing candy is. I mean, candy is such small thing, and have you seen how happy all the drugged up kids get over candy. When I realized how happy people can get over such a tiny thing was a good thought - not of violence and hate - but of small things uniting us all.

I would love to see more candy kids around - I don't think I would ever turn candy myself, but I would never turn it down if given to me - you are right, they do make great memories. I remember the first candy ever given to me, it was from the bestest person on here, Liquid Haze (love you Berta :)), at the Garage Full of Funk 2 - OH WAIT! - no the first one was from my first party, SIP 4.5 at Eagles Hall, Candice gave me one - she was the first person I ever actually met at a rave lol. Ahhh the memories.

But yeah, more Candy and MORE PLUR! PLUR will never die. And I plan to make sure of it =).

one other thing to add. its not just candy kids that give lightshows. Nowadays its more the barstars or normal people who trip each other out with lightshows and glowsticks.

I think lightshows are pretty hurt but i ain't gonna bash a group of people because stereotypically they are the ones to blame.

Everyone gives light shows more barstars than anything nwo though
