Nicknames ... How did you get yours?

I was doing a snow-show at the time.

I told my bud to pick up tix for the ET Bros party, "Frostee".

It sold out, like I knew it would.

My bud fucked up, like I hoped he wouldn't.

Ended up, he got tix, the day before, in Vic, and paged me on Friday around 18:30.

"Got the tix! We're goin'!", he said.

Already happy, because I _knew_ we were going to wrap early on a friday (for a change!) when I got the news, I started dancing/jumping around.

2nd AD was walking by, looked at me and asked, "WTF?".

Told him I was happy that I was going to "Frostee"!!!

Next week, my name was posted on the call-sheet as "Frosty".

It stuck.

Being a snow-show, you'd figure _somebody_ would end up with it, at some point...

I've never had a nickname, before, and I figured, it could be worse....!...

Since there's usually a couple of Steve's around set, and "Dave" sounds like "Steve" across a noisy set, it really relieved a lot of confusion.

Let's face it, _almost_ everyone knows around _5_ "Steve"'s.

Not everyone knows a "Frosty".

i dont know if what im called would be considered a nickname or what, but i work in a construction company where i call the plumbers "dogfuckers" and in return they call me "ragu".

Lola - short for lolita because I attract old men. I mean realllllly old. Ick so nasty. I used to hate it but then I didn't mind it so much after (the name not the old men). Phyne got attached to lola because a friend dubed me that in a freestyle and we just liked that sound of it together.
Carrie - short for caroline but only kids I went to highschool with call me that.
Bear - because it rhymes with care. some people have no imagination.
Princess bad hat - kim (mystique) called me that because I used to be a bad hat.
Monkey - another mystique given name.
twist - it was a name I had from my two bestfriends. Because I always take things to far and shit gets twisted.
I think I'm forgetting some I'm sure.

well, i'll start with mush...when i was a wee lil one, my brother was matty, my sister angie, and i was mishy. My brother was only about 2 and he couldnt pronounce mishy, it came out mushy. then all my family called me that for years, some still do. my friends some how heard it and then they all started calling me that. I got mushmellow from a friend cuz i like marshmellows, especially mini ones! and i tend to make messes with them. Mush-room from a friend that met me when i was on mushrooms, and shelly belly from my girl shaenna cuz i have a little tatty on my lower stomach!

Rummy- My friend Pat started calling me that becasue my drink of choice was and always had been rum.
Bird- A nickname my family gave to me when i attepted to fly down the stairs at age 4.
Gremmy-A nickname my friends Kim and Zoe gave to me because they couldnt think of what aniaml i looked like so it was either gizmo the cute gremlin or the unicorn offa "the last unicron"...and i choice the gremlin lol
Nen-My sister and my cousins call me thins...cuz my youngest cousin use to call me this when she couldn pronounce my name properly.
