Virtual Desktop 2 of 6: Filesharing. That's nicotine (soulseek client) on the left, bittorrent on the right (commandline program btlaunchmanycurses.py) and a GAIM window open (MSN).

Description of panel:
The bottom left, the Tux, is my programs drawer. Click it and out pops a bunch of icons (kinda like OSX) for my commonly used programs. The Gnome footprint next to it is like my start menu. Then I have volume control, commandline launcher, Virtual Desktop selector, Clock, Kill Dead Program (great feature, click it, then click a window, kills the root process... great for managing crashes), and finally a "Work In Progress" drawer (the Swiss Army Knife)... basically a My Documents type thing.

ok my desk top has been scaled down to fit people screens... I love my 1360x1024 main desk top, with my 800x600 second screen.

3507321C: i use to have all the skinning programs, and used them for a long period of time, but eventually i found the skins more annoying then anything, i like having the clean default look and its alot better for your cpu

and for any1 that wants that jessica alba wallpaper

It cleans up all those desktop icons.

It's the dock @ the top of my screen notice i have no icons all over the place, I also have it set on autohide so my desktops got nothin on it but my recycle n' incinerator.

Very handy, it's like a mac dock for pc's.

i know what it is i had it... and look thats on your desktop.... and its more chunky than the original icons! hehe

like i said i use 2 be all about it but overtime i got sick of it...

i use all the icons on my desktop everything else has their own little menu on my taskbar, u cant get much cleaner then i have my comp setup

I can see your icons, mine autohide, how do you figure yours is cleaner ?

BTW it hardly uses any cpu, but yeah I guess you've made up your mind.
