it was my very first time taking out a piercing this week.. belly ring's out. duno why, not feelin the metal on my tummy no more. hopefully the hole stays til i find a "to die for" barbell. still need to get my tongue done in the near future, such a wuss about it though. SOON!

Why would they stick a 14 guage in there? Tongue piercings, no matter what the nature should be at least a 12 or else you're getting a lot of the 'cheese cutter' effect. You should get it upgraded to a 12 once it heals, it'll feel a lot more comfortable.

Does it affect your speech at all?

well i dunno what gauge is in it right now, either 12 or 14..lol, all i know is they pierced it with a needle bigger then needed

and yes, it affects my speech a bit right now...its gettin better though, swelling is almost gone, and so is the bruising :D
