Thought I'd bump up this post, because well...who needs to start a new one when there's a perfectly good one here!!!

I got my 17th piercing today! WHEEEEE! I'd been thinking about getting my nape done for a LONG LONG time. A few years and it was the perfect time to get one because well...it was time for a new piercing.

I got it done by Elwood at Dermagraphic Osmosis in Richmond - probably the only person I'd let do a surface piercing on me other than Fakir himself. I was going to go to my usual piercer, at Sacred Heart...but when I called them the front desk girl didn't even know what I was talking about (what a nape piercing was) so Elwood was by FAR the best choice.

The difference between this one and my other piercings is that unlike the other where the needle took only about a second to go in and out, this one took at least a minute. ANd I could feel the needle going through the layers of skin. Painful, but I loved every second of it.

It has a high rejection rate, so hopefully it lasts me more than a few months:).

But it was worth it and I guess I'll wait til the new year for another one...(thinking about retiring my labret and going vertical labret, collarbone, cleavage or tongue web. Other than a few things in my ears, those are the only ones I'm thinking about ever getting (until I fall in love with another piercing of course).

^that looks hot..when i got my nape(s) done, i didnt really think it hurt all that much...

oh ya, RIP: Horizontal tongue ring :( its been rejecting for a while, and i got it checked out last week, my piercer said i should jus take it out(it was starting to hurt, and push out the TOP of my tongue)

so, in place of that, i'm gonna be gettin venoms!!!!!!!!

ps. to add to my collection i got my nose percied i forgot to add that when i got it done :) so all in all i have:

i could get my horizontal re-pierced...but it would hurt like shit, cuz it'd go through scar tissue...

plus venoms would be awesome...the horizontal would always "click" when i talked...lol

I think my industrial is finally healed! Got it 9 months ago, but I have had a heck of a time with it (sensative skin, insensative hairdressers, sunscreen/hats/summercamp irritants), but I think it's finally getting there :) Now I want to get my daith done! - I'll prolly got see Elwood (mum and sis just love him). Ooh, and it's tattoo season!

i know !! haha, the first time i went i was really baked and scared so when she peirced it i pulled my tongue away and it turned out really crooked, so i wnet back in 2 weeks later to get it done for free, and then all was fine and i got in a car accident and for surgery they take all ur peircings out so it grew over in the 2 and half hours i was in surgery, I jus went back about 3 weeks ago and its doin well haha i love it

I took my tongue piercing out 11 months ago... and it hasnt grown over. I stuck something thru it for the first time a couple wks ago and its still there. I had no idea - I thought it was totally grown over. Hrmm...

Definately go to Elwood! I think I'm going to have a hard time choosing between Elwood and Tim at Sacred Heart now...but I may just have to switch completely to Elwood (depends on where I am at the time I want a piercing).

As for the daith, just from my experience, be prepared for a bit of pain afterwards...I felt like I had an earache for 3 days after I got it done. I don't know if it was like this for everyone, but I had a pain in my ear!

yea, when i took my horizontal out....i got home, tried to put it back in(3-4 hours) and it was already healed over...i was like "shit that does heal fast"
