i usually make sure they are comfy and just tie them in a knot to make sure i don't have to do it again.

obviously...tieing your shoes is sooo last year!! Plus if you're a girl most often you take care of your shoes. At least i do. I don't think i have one pair that looks like crap...i get that shoe cleaning stuff and make 'em nice and spiffy. I have shoes that are like 2 years old that still look brand new and blindingly white...is that obsessive?

word. I get my $$ worth out of mine. They're usually falling apart by the time I realize I need a new pair.

However, a few females have recently told me that girls believe that shoes say a lot about a guy. I think ill buy a pair for biking,etc and one for dates

You need at least a couple pair. You can't wear one pair all the time or they just get trashed. A pair of shoes last about a couple months for me before they start to fall apart.

no rawb, no. real skateboarders buy new nice skateboarding shoes specifically for that purpose so that they have more control and don't hurt their feet, etc. Shitty shoes would not serve this purpose very well, now would they.
