does anyone know where to find a medical alert bracelet?

im deathly allergic to codine and was told i should be wearing a bracelet for it..

i didn't have time to ask my doctor where to get one.

i see some at pharmacies like safeway...but are they just general ones? do i have to get something written on it?!

does anyone know?

I was always under the impression you got a generic one and got it inscribed with the allergy on the back??

you can get them at safeway and places like that you said, or you can get them at a jeweler. i had a medical alert necklace - looked really nice, was gold, got it for a christmas present. but i lost it. i have lost alot of medical alert bracelets in my time as well, and now stick to the safeway specail ones.

but yeah just take them to things engraved or any other engraving place and they'll do it up for you. you might even be able to find one in the engraving store.

I work at Metalsmiths Accessories, and we sell all sizes... probably like... 5-8 size faceplates and with different chains and clasps and stuff... We also do engraving but you have to send it away at it takes up tp 5 weeks. :)
