i dont know, i jumped the gun really. but honestly, i think that he changed the way people look and think about non-black hiphop acts. i think the additudes towards cats like necro, classified ect.. would be significantly different if it wasnt for his success. im not saying that eminem's success contributed to thier success (they are talented enough on their own, to be able to come up strictly off their skill), but it definately helped alot more people take them seriously.

im sure he has changed the perception of, id say "white hip hop artists" instead of "non-black hip hop artists" as there were already established artists that werent black, on a certain level.
that being said... there is a certain aspect of hip hop (audience and labels) that dont consider race when listening to/signing artists.
