Holy crap pens signed John Leclair, and word around pittsburgh is there close to signing Jozef Stumpel today or tommorow. Pens are stacked big time. Can you imagine a first line of Mario, Crosby and Palffy, with a second line of Recchi, Malone, and Stumpel. Then you got Leclair on the 3rd line with Younger guys like Milan Kraft and Aleksey Morozov. Thats 3 solid lines

gonna have to say vancouver. one of the only team to keep there original rosters. other teams liek calgary, edmonton, philly, pittsburg are stacked btu it takes a while to build team chemestry. give pittsburgh 2 - 3 seasons for andre fleury and crosby to mature and they will be nstopable

Ya but if you notice about Pittsburgh there getting players who have played together before. Mario and Recchi won the cup together and played on the same line for most of 3 seasons. Recchi and Leclair played together on the same team for most of there career in Philly. Palffy and Stumpel played together in LA for 5 or 6 years. And Crosby with Mario, hell i dont think there gonna need time to build up chemistry i think they will click from the get go. I think the pens will take the Eastern Conference, and Calgary will take the West.

Thats matter of opinion for you, and wishful thinking. He hasn't had back problems since 97. The reason why he missed so many games in 2003 is because of his Hip not his back, now that thats cleared up watch out.

^ i think it'll be a decent second line but it all depends on carters goal scoring cause the sedins are not bad setup men but in terms of goal scorers neither has scored 20.

i know for a fact colorado will still have a better second line even with forsberg gone.

Good try buddy, i said the pens might sign Stumpel days before the Panthers signed him. When I said it he was still an Unrestricted free agent and was made an offer of 3 million over 2 years by the Penguins so it looked pretty definite he would sign with them.

I'll stick to Philly for the East, but the West hmm its abit of a toss up i think canucks will be in the top 3 though this year

Philly will be the new NYR of the new NHL. Tons of talent thrown together with little planning by management (Bobby Clarke is a retard)... with minimal payoff.

I can't even make predictions generally right now though.. whole league is so messed up. Ask me again halfway through the year...

Actually I guess by then I'll be in Tokyo or Sydney, and I won't know wtf is going on. :(

i agree almost entirely on ur western. I said the canucks will be in the top 3 for sure th is season.

I dunno i think anaheim will be in 3rd or 4th this year. They just got selanne back and neidermayer, federov. Seems to be a better team than chicago even with their aquisitions. Though not sure how selanne will play eveything else in the west i completly agree on.

The only reason I put Chicago in 3rd place is because out of Detroit, st.louis, the Preds, and the bluejackets I think they'll be tops in there division. who knows maybe Anaheim will be higher up but i think the Blackhawks will be in 3rd place because of the weaker division. Plus they got the Bulin Wall, thats enough to make any team a division champion.
