oh. I do it when there are two lanes,
or when someone is taking a left in a one lane street, I go around.
I've seen cops do it all the time.

LOL now take a look @ my situation

all started with a DUI/24h, = 2 months, then over a couple years I got 2 speeding tickets,1 seatbelt ticket,1 driving too close ticket = 8 points (FYI you are allowed 5 points in tickets on your N, 6 points = suspension) so bam, 2nd suspension, another 2 months.. then I get it back a couple weeks ago, FINALLY I can drive legal again no stress (who said anything about stopping) .. 2 days later, I make the stupidest move ever and decide to drive kinda drunk, well.. I wanted to crash at the guys house, but last minute he says everyone out. oooOOoo Roadblock!! Another DUI /24hr + having no insurance papers in the truck *oops* = now it's 4 month suspension. But hey at least they didn't search my truck or they'd find a pound of bud/scale = nailed for trafficing. But before the susp. takes place, I get pulled over cuz my plates aren't up *temp insurance* .. but nooo.. I get a ticket for not displaying my temp insurance properly+ another no N ticket. GEEZUS CHRIST. I fail at life when it comes to driving rules. Guess I've learned all my lessons the hard way. I figure I'll be gettin rid of my N when im 40 hahahah

The first DUI was cuz we just hotboxed my truck. The 2nd was 3 beers, I don't drink/drive but the situation was messed like I said. Speeding tickets= 120 on freeway (wtf) 80 in a 60 zone, wiiiide open 2 lane road with no houses. you can think whatever you like, but my friends can tell you I'm a very trustworthy/good driver. Anyway, blah blah I'm sure you donut care :) Personally, I just have horrrrrrrible luck when it comes to driving.

Correct/Correct (keep it outside) / Nein! I simply have to drive, there's no choice in the matter. I just stay away from any late night/roadblock zone driving, obey all posted limits, and keep my eyes peeled.

why do you HAVE to drive?

if having your licence means so much.. why do you do things that possibly would take that away from you?

Do you know that if you hit someone and injure them while driving without a license means that your insurance wouldn't be valid. If you hit someone, even if it is an accident....to put it mildly you are fucked. You are not only tempting fate....every....time...you get behind the wheel; you are fucking with someone else's fate. I think you are the most selfish person to drive without a license. Do us all a favor and get a bus pass.

I'm gunna ask about that, I think you are wrong. I know a girl who drove daddys truck without a licence crashed it and was fine.. another girl got caught driving without a licence and only got a 150 dollar ticket and still gets to have her licence back at the end of the suspension (no further susp.)

Someone else's fate? If I crash into them, and they have insurance, regardless of me.. they are covered by their own insurance.

It will most likely be suspended for a month.

I recommend that you dispute the ticket or else you're screwed.
That, or if you are eligible to get your class 5 go and do that ASAP, that way they won't suspend you (it worked for me...the second time!).

Hey dude.... tip for you here, free of charge:

STOP TRYING TO DEFEND YOUR ACTIONS

You're a selfish irresponsible little brat who thinks it's ok to defy the law so long as it suits your own selfish needs. You're willing to drive under the influence, without a licence, and you don't seem to care. You can't defend yourself when you are quite simply, completely wrong.

The fact that you haven't even been driving long enough to get rid of your N just makes it worse.... they shouldn't have even given you a learners. People like you are why I'm missing 3 different friends who were hit in 3 different accidents by LOSER DRUNK DRIVERS LIKE YOU.

Do us all a favour and get bent around a pole on your own, mmmkay?

They only take away your licence if you go over the point limit of 5, or you get a 24h suspension with an N.

N ticket = 0 points. Speeding ticket=2 or 3, = good to go.

Depends on the ticket too tho. Im not sure if his second ticket would be considered excessive speeding or not, but if it is, that's enough to suspend his license for atleast a month just on its own. In conjunction with his failure to display his N they might want to suspend him anyways to prove a point.

Actually, you are wrong and you probably never got the whole story out of the girl.

Daddy's insurance will cover it initially.....then ICBC will turn around and sue personally for all damages, the person who was driving the vehicle. Do you know how much an xray costs, or an ambulance ride. Medical bills add up fast. Until you pay that debt with ICBC, you will never drive again. They sometimes go as far as garnishing your wages. They are initially covered by their insurance so that they don't go out of pocket. You my friend, will pay back every penny that ICBC paid out, plus interest and whatever else they tack on.

Getting caught driving without a license by the police may only get you a further fine and more suspension time, but the fine has to be paid before you get your license back or insure a vehicle.

If you think it is wise to drive without a license, go ahead and fill your boots....

I expected a few responses like this. Ill defend myself as I see fit. I had a couple beers in a couple hours and drove, I bet 95% of the people on this site casually drink and drive (1 per hour) I was under the "normal" limit, but N rules = 0.0.. yes, I made a stupid mistake. I learned from it and will never do it again. "loser drunk drivers like me" yeaah.. no.

I wasn't driving without a licence when I got busted.

Thanks I'll go try the pole thing this weekend!

If the accident is my fault, I'm gunna have to pay ICBC the full amount either way. (lump sum or over the course of time) If i have a licence or not, driving an insured vehicle. Further fines for driving without the licence I can handle.

You guys can keep grilling me I could care less, I know my consequences.

You are still seriously trying to justify what you do? Are you sure you have all the correct info?

I know what you are saying about paying an accident off.....but you are still wrong. What you are referring to has to do with a fender bender. If you get into an accident, and you don't want it to go against your insurance, you pay it off. But you only have a year to do it.

What everyone is trying to point out to you....is what if you seriously injure someone? You hit another car so hard, you give the driver brain damage. Do you know how much that person would get for your stupidity. Probably close to 5 million dollars. And from the lack of smarts you are showing here.....you will never see that amount of money in your life. This is what insurance is for. On the off chance we do that.

That also doesn't include the civil suit that could be brought against you by the victim of your crash.

I know my facts as my mother works for ICBC....I also have a friend who this happened to, he will never drive again. MistressSpankMe also knows him, don't believe me, ask her. Maybe someone can get it through your thick skull what it is you are doing wrong.

You are right. If I get into a 5 million dollar lawsuit, financially my life will be over. Right now I have 1 million liability, so with a licence or not, the same would happen really. Ill never be taking the truck over 60 .. + being overly cautious keeping mad distance driving slow.. I hate to sound like a selfish prick, but I don't see anything horrible happening. If somebody fucks up and I'm the victim, then yeah.. I'm screwed. Basically ALL this boils down to, is me taking a risk screwing myself over. I am in NO way harming/endangering anyone else on the road because WHATEVER happens, their insurance will cover their needs. My situation/risk will hurt nobody but myself. Its a risk Im willing and forced to take.

if someone else hits you.. and the car has insurance but the driver doesn't have a licence, doesn't the other person not have to pay for your injuries?

yeah. thats what I thought.

you can only have insurance if you have a licence, if it's someone elses car and you don't have a licence then the insurance isn't valid

Right - if you have no license and you are driving, fault or no fault....you are not covered. If you are a passenger, you will always be covered.

NOOOOOOOOOO SHITTTTTTTTT!!!

did you read what I said? Im saying.. my insurance is void, so if somebody else hits me, i get nothing. If I hit somebody else, and total my truck, my truck is gone. If I hit somebody and give them brain damage, I get sued 5 million. Unless you are trying to say, if I hit somebody and total their car, they aren't covered? *which makes no sense to me*?

The situation is not selfish AT ALL.. im not changing ANYONE ELSE'S SITUATION. All I'm doing is risking my own well being and finances. Like i said, its a risk I have to take. Call me stupid till your hearts content.

[edit=i was wrong initially, but you just yelled at me ^^ for saying what was now correct ]

Splinter is an unknown quantity at this point
Someone sues you for 5 million dollars because you destroyed their life

You have a shitty truck, a rented apartment, a computer and maybe $5000 in liquidatable assets.

They get all your shit.

They get a truck they cant drive because you mangled their legs, a computer and $5000.

They can't get a job, they cant go out and have fun because they have chronic pain caused by nerve damage, they have to spend the rest of their life in a 3rd rate care home because thats all MSP will cover.

Do you not understand that the point of insurance isnt a fucking lottery? It's not like 'Oh sweet, I got hit by a car, I'm rich!'
It's to help you cover the costs of things you can't do anymore like working. To pay for ongoing medical costs.

If you dont have insurance (or are not insured because you dont have a license), sure, they can sue you, but you don't have shit. You've destroyed a life, and their families, because you didnt want to take the bus.

The fact that you dont have a license shows exactly how likely it is that you're going to cause an accident like this - quite high.
