DALnet and EFnet are still two of the biggest servers, as usual. I think most of the IRC community has migrated onto smaller more specialized servers however.... especially primarily english speaking people, because IRC appears to be a fad in Asia like it used to be in North America... and most of the larger servers are dominated by non-english speakers now.

and when you get to a server you like do a channel search, and in 5 minutes you'll have a list of 1000's of channels to choose from :D

It was all about downloading VCD rars on irc in grade 7... good times....
