What I don't get is how there is even a question that independent James Green had an effect on the final results of this election. The most votes any other independent got was around 600 or so.
Now that there is evidence supporting the fact that Sam Sullivan was in some way, shape, or form involved with the independent James Green just makes things fishier. If there is even a slight chance that the results were skewed they should definitely hold a 2nd vote for the city with only Jim and Sam on the ballot. The fact that we're stuck with the NPA in power for the next 4 yrs is bad news. |

I don't really care about the vancouver mayoral race or anything but it ceases to amaze me that you have 4000 people stupid enough that they know who the fuck there voting for..... Yep it was a democratic vote... the people vote for the person that they have choosen.... and if they don't know there candidates name properly then they should of thought about it twice before voting...
I mean really come on now people, if your unsure as to who it was then they do have people that would be able to tell you who the candidate was over at the polling stations.... Besides from what I understand they had jim greens party name below his name so it wouldn't make things complicated..... |

As for voting for James Green.... what can you tell me about his campaign that would convince you to do so? Or are you talking out of your ass? Just because it was close in Delta means nothing for the city of Vancouver. I can make assumptions all I like. There is no way in hell that having a Jim Green and a James Green didn't confuse some voters. I'm willing to say they may not have been the most educated voters if they couldn't figure it out but the fact remains that it undoubtedly had an impact. Neither James Green, nor Sullivan for that matter, deny their relationship. The fact remains that Sullivan helped out Green. Do you really think that Sullivan didn't realize in the back of his mind that this guy would split the vote up a little bit? That's exactly why he helped the guy out. |

He didn't call Vancouver stupid... he called 4273 people stupid. In all fairness, if any one of those people really meant to vote for Jim Green then they deserve it.
I guess it's one of democracy's greatest downfalls.... even if you're stupid you still get a say. You should have to pass an IQ test or soemthing before you're allowed to vote! hahaha |
