Ordering stuff online...
I don't know if this should go in the punching bag or da sweet stuff, but....
I ordered some boots online from www.ineedshoes.com (sweet site) on December 8th as my very first online purchase. They cost me $200 dollars, and I payed an extra 50 bucks just to get them here in 20 business days... about 2 months later we call the company up asking where they are, and apparently they got held up at the border and such, which I can understand... finally they arrive at the shop in Richmond (Hypatia) and we tell them that instead of them shipping them out to us which could take up to 2 MORE weeks since its down by postal, we're gonna go and drive out to van to pick them up at the end of the week and the lady tells us OK. so we drive all the way out to richmond, took us 3 hours due to traffic, and when we get there - theres a sign on the door saying that the shop is closed until further notice! so obviously we are pretty pissed at this... we drive back to chilliwack and a week later we finally get a hold of someone who works there and apparently their only employee quit while the manager was on holidays and didnt tell anyone, which was why the shop was closed... he tells us he is shipping the boots out and a week later we FINALLY get them... (today!) after almost THREE months of waiting for these stupid things, I finally have my boots! So all in all, I don't think I am *Ever* gonna order stuff online again (especially if it's this much of a freaking hassle) but man I ever glad to have my boots! they were supposed to be my xmas present, but since I got them closer to Valentine's, I think that's what they are gonna be now, lol.

i've ordered many things online over the past 3 years and haven't had too much trouble. i'd say 95% of the time, i had enjoyed great service and communication with the vendors.
its all about finding as much information about the vendor as you can before purchases. don't let his one bad experience deter you away from online shopping. its a great convenient way to get what you want. next time, just make sure you are buying from the most reputable source available.

ya, true... though i woulda thought this place would have been reputable - i know many ppl who have ordered stuff from them before...though, come to think of it, i think usually it has take quite a long time for them too... i just think it's ridiculous that i paid 50 extra dollars to have it shipped in 20 days,and it took 3 months... grr... but i *heart* my boots, they are so gorgeous :D

ya, im very excited about them... i tried them on as soon as they got here, and they fit like a charm! very happy about that, cuz i could just picture them somehow being wrong and having to go through the whole process over again :( :( but, i agree, I think we should bitch and get our 50 bucks back too... very lousy service, if you ask me!
