me and the gf have an understanding that we do not celebrate v-day. it's been working pretty well for the last 2 so far...

we have a similar agreement for xmas where we don't buy each other gifts.

blahhh. my man is gone on a business trip for v-day. im going to eat ice cream and watch girlie movies with my cat. lol. and then my girls are coming over for one of our infamous gallon-style bacardi parties.

^^ interesting (edit: for mofo-x). hmmmm...v-day. well...i have never had a romantic attatchment for this blessed holiday of love. this year may be different.....which will be interesting. but growing up, my stepmom always made a huge deal about valentine's day. and me and my brother and her would make v-day cards for family and friends. and we would do this compliment box where we would write something nice about each person in the family every day. and then we read them all on v-day. so for me......it's all about the love i have for close friends and family. it's about reflecting on all the love i have around me and spending quality time with the people i care about and appreciate. so really....i could care less about chocolates and roses.

ps. i LOVE making homemade valentine's!!!! so look out :p

Me and nathan arent really celebrating it either.... he's not in to it, we made a compromise we will never celebrate valentines day and i get my church wedding, im happy enough, plus i see him everyday and with everything coming our way this summer we have enough to celebrate

he what was your due date? I remembver its just after mine (july 15)
i found out they wont tell the sex of the baby in bc till 20 weeks, so the ultrasound tec. will write it down and your doctor will tell you

they are not supposed to. some rule, when i went it said that on the wall :(
some will tell you your just not supposed to mention they did :)

It's because they found that a lot of people aborted because they wanted the opposite sex than they had baking in the oven. Some people are ignorant like that.

^ not saying you're wrong, because i don't have a clue. but how does it make a difference if your ultrasound tech tells you rather than your doctor? i mean, you'll still find out in the end.

a lot of the time, your doctor won't tell you either. It's up to their discretion, but most of them have a heart. The doctor didn't tell my sister what she was going to have, because she mentioned that she was really hoping it was a girl.

its so if you get the u/s done before twenty weeks the doctor has the info to release at their discretion, the reason it's held till after 20 weeks is because you can still get an abortion in the states up untill 5 months, because it's privately operated down there were as opposed to canada, where the limit is 3 months or 12 weeks

but the ultrasound tech doesnt tell you because of that, they dont tell you much of what they see at all, most of the time because they are not the ones going over the ultrasound and writing the info down that your doctor gets.

my ultrasound was supposed to be febuary 9th but i have already had one so im going march 7th to a 3D ultrasound place, who will tell me, and will show me a much more detailed look at my baby :)

There arent many ultrasound places in the lower mainland who will even tell your doctor.. Tell chrissy to phone and see :)

Its not what they usually look for so alot of the time they will not tell your doctor even.
