plaza (granville) or atlantis for a big drum and bass show

I'm partial to Plaza, and would def check out a dnb show there. I'm venturing out much more these days! :)

did anyone ever go to Swerve at the plaza back in 2002? The only dnb night that I know of that was at the plaza - definitely good times.

I'd deffinetly have to go with plaza. As myra mentioned, plaza's service is superior and the staff seemed more courtious. Aside from the staff, I think plaza's layout is better too. With the main island bar, you barely have to leave the dance floor to get a drink. (one reason i'm not too fond of Sonar - drink sooo far away!)

As long as they build a stage down low and don't shove the act in the hole in the sky. PLAZA.

just wanna clarify something

atlantis is aware of a need for improvement with door staff, and has taken measures.

outside smoking was indeed allowed at afrika bambaataa last week - one of the improvements

if anyone has any complaint from that nighte, please post and we can address it with the club

things seemed pretty smooth from what i could tell

question:
would you pay $5 extra to attend an event at the plaza?

or are you able to tolerate atlantis if the ticket price was $5 less?

Well i think you addressed the issues everyone had already. And i know alot of people would like to have cheaper tickets.

Atlantis = 8/10 venue

It all depends on the show too...
if its going to be an up and dance show...Plaza
if its a chill atmosphere and more of a get down with your bad self time.. Atlantis.

Keep in Mind that having a Dnb show @ avenue on granville will also have a high "off the street" clientel, people who dont know what it is will be exposed. Its a good indulgence for the scene, and the music.

i prefere Atlantis. Its just a gorgeous venue...and WIIKKKKEED lighting.

Not necessarily.
During the weekdays there isn't a whole lot of the "off the street" crowd - most people are coming to Plaza for a reason...many of those reasons stated above.
