Sorry if I come across as "bitter" and "jaded", except that this is the same thing that happened to Apex and Summerlove. Kids getting overenthusiastic about something that's really not that important.

It may be stupidly cool, I may still be going this year, but it's still just a party.

But I'm not really gonna get super duper excited until a) I know for a fact I'm going (ie have ticket and ride sorted) and b) we're within a few weeks of the event. No point in me reminding myself that it's winter and cold out here now by daydreaming about Shambhala. Seriously. 6 months and there's already posts about it on the internet saying it's going to be the BEST PARTY EVAR?

Yeah. It's not just the party that I count down for... it's taking a week and a half off in the middle of summer and spending it with the greatest people on earth-my friends. It's more than just a 4 day rave. It's bobby Ts cabin too. It's my little escape from stress. It's sunny and hot and theres water to swim in everyday. There's beer and food and sunsets. There's a boat and tubes behind the boat. There's tree climbing and suntanning. So fuck off about my little countdown. My friends are where it's at. And spending time with them at Shambhala/Bobby Ts cabin is something that I look forward to when it's dark outside before I'm off work. And it's raining for an entire month. :) So on that note... 25 weeks till Shambhala!! :D

the next shambhala will be my fourth year going and every year there have been posts similar to the one you mentioned, even within a few days of shambhala ending. Yet every shambhala i go to is better then the one before, this is without even considering the billion other factors that make shambles completely different from the parties you have mentioned. This fact makes for a rather persuasive argument that shambles will not turn into a complete pile of shit overnight.

just take a look at the lengths the promoters go to maintain the quality of the party every year and you can be assured that itll still be pretty dope without even having to consider the fact that the party is 8 fuckin hours from any major population centre.

p.s you're just too negative maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnn.

p.p.s as dave mentioned their is a somewhat private reason why half the people in this thread are having a collective orgasim just thinkin about shambles. that reason can be attribvuted to the intrinsict awesomeness of the coq crew, and how we all share an almost teleconectic and cultish dedication and love for each other. i've been planning it all out, and i've given it some thought, with all the stuff that we will have to bring along (tent, sleeping bags, coolers) i don't think that i will even have room for you guys! :( cause i don't have any room in my trunk cause it's little and full of sub already..

that sucks.. it would have been fun us 4 girls going up together, (tanya is totally down btw) but i definately want to travel up with you guys none the less! hopefully i'll be able to keep up, cause if erin's driving.. i dunno..lol.. i might be left in the dust..more likely then not.

one of my buddies out here in ontario knows about it and is comming with me to enjoy the experiance. but i have a problem.

i need someone to purchase me a ticket, since i cannot. i have no credit card, so before anyone quotes me on this, i would like that to be out in the open.

if anyone has it in their heart to do this, i will pay them in a cheque on directly deposit the money into their bank account before they purchase it.

please pm me if you are willing to do this.
