I think you're wrong. It's the crappy movies that people pay for in the theatres. Until people stop making shit movies like Wild Wild West and Big Momma's House box office hits, companies will keep going with what they think works and what they know will make them money. If people paid to see movies that required a decent attention span, Hollywood would be all over that bandwagon.

omg i actually watched taxi one night, i mean like sat through it, the only value i got from wasting my time watching it is being able to tell people 'yeah so it's pretty much the worst movie ever' and have evidence to support it.

..even a cameo role from hottie giselle bunchden (sp?) wasn't enough to save it!
