Hello all... My name is Jaymz (DJ Rezidnt Funk) Edmonton....

I'm a promoter/dj here in Edmonton and I'm throwing a jam sometime in October... just wondering if I could get some info on some of your best DJ's...

I'd go ahead and do the research myself but I'm a busy man...

I'm looking for Breaks, House or Garage/2-Step DJ's... The show will be mostly locals from Edmonton, Calgary and of course Some of your finest BC Funk... Hopefully I'll have some sort of headliner as well but I'm more about showcasing local talent because I'm very aware of how much local talent there is.

So if anyone could guide me in the right direction of some talent I'd greatly apreciate it...

I was @ Summer Break and heard LOADS of talent so thats the kind of stuff I'm looking for...

Hey dude... I think the primaries have already been mentioned.

If I were a promoter in Edmonton, I would look at bringing over:

Vinyl Ritchie & Matt the Alien (although I know they play for the Smalltown DJ's in Calgary now and then)

Czech for sure - this dude has it all. I'm not sure when he was last in Edmonton.

Hip Hop/Funk:
Wood vs. Soo -- these boys hold it down week after week at various club residencies

Bangin Funky House:
Hirshee vs. Deliverance - between both crates here, they will satisfy the kids House cravings out there good.

Speed Garage:
Greg C - he's never played in Alberta and has a bag full of Speed Garage. I know Scotty Oh! has already been over there plenty.

Of course Precise (Funky, party-rockin Breaks):
This dude has the freshest jams by far - even ahead of Czech in some cases. Couple that with his insane DMC/scratchin skillz and it's leathal. This is specifically why I enjoy playin tag sets with this guy so much.
