Avatars 2b scaled back to 50x64

one reason for our high server load is caused by avatar sizes ranging from medium to large files. these will be stripped back to 50h x 64w pixel images.

however, signatures will be the entire length of the post. about 25% wider :)

That's pretty small there for avatars. Like half the size of yours now.
I like that though. But what do you mean by LARGER signatures? The last thing we need are people with even bigger sigs. lol

ahh that sux.. instead of decreasing them to such a tiny size, why not just lower the file size limit? like have it at 20Kb instead of 150Kb or something.. like mine is 23Kb right now, and yours is only 7Kb.. so it's totally possible to have them the same dimensions but with lower file size.. i dunno at this resolution 50x64 is just too fuckin tiny man..

Thats a terrible idea.

I say avatars deserve much more priority than sigs. Make room for the avatars at the expense of the sigs! Down with sigs, Up with avatars.

it sucks sure, but an avatar is suppose to be a small icon next to your name. your signature is what images are for.. might be 64x64 maybe 70x70 I will push it as large as I can. this will happen though, sorry.

I could easly make a 50X64pixel image 300+ Kb. So yea it would be smart to do a 100X100 5Kb image
