I do some sig "damage control"... some are just utterly too big. I normally PM the individual to suggest a change.

I prefer 300 x 150 -ish.

I guess it depends on what you call 'excessive'

There definitely has to be room for some creativity - photos and text - but some people do push it too far. I've got a medium/big sig. though, so I can't really preach here.

My signature was big for about 1 hour then i took it down.
Ppl told me to take it down so i did....
and really the point of my sig was that i would get gia back 4 putting me up on hers....but whatever...
