How much would you spend for the ps3?

It's expencive enough in the stores, but on the beat they are auctioning one of for charity. This woman called in and said her son want's one so bad that she'd do anything to get one. She bid $10 000 for a ps3. I think that's stupid. Im not a video game person, but really 10 grand for a video game system?.

I guess you weren't surfing on ebay on Friday November 17th when they went on sale and only after a few hours all of the North American stock was sold out.

People camped in line for 2 days only to sell them on ebay making a considerable profit. The hype died down after a week. Prices on ebay were in the $2,000-$40,000 range, after the news that no PS3 would be available in North America until Mid-January 2007.

I sold my Ps3 on ebay the day I bought it and made a hefty profit.

I'm not a video game person either, but it was supply and demand.

I ddin't look for it on ebay, I have no intrest in haveing one. I just heard this on the radio. I think it's insane the amount of money people will pay for a video game system!
it's freaking video games, that money could go toward's such better things IMO.

Cheapest Blu-Ray players on the market are 900$ , so if you're paying less then that, technically you're getting a deal.

It's just insane that come summer when there's tons of stock you'll be able to buy them for 599$ no problem.

that's also very true. some people are paying such high prices because it is also a blu-ray dvd player and a video game system in one.

Well, I hired a homeless guy to camp outside the Cambie Best Buy on Wednesday for $200.00. I did my contribution to society. I also gave him 2 x $40 Wendy's Gift Cards for food while he camped outside. On the friday I gave the guy an extra $200 for his efforts.

PS3 total = $750
Homelessguy camped outside $450
Total spent for game console = $1,200
Total earned after ebay = 5x spent.
