Actors you really like.

I mean male leading men, and not in that eye candy bullshit way but actors you think always give really solid performances.

my list as follows in no particular order:
Daniel Day Lewis-everything he has ever done has been bangin
Robert De Niro-mailed it in on the meet the fockers but otherwise good, travis bickle is a legendary character thanks to him
Paul Newman-this is the man i aspire to be, great in his profession, has a huge heart and does alot of charity work, he races cars!!! and even as an old dude he's still real good looking, too bad about his health problems tho.
Dustin Hoffman-banged a milf, nuff siad.
Christian Bale - this nikkuh is intense in his game, dude lost like 60 pounds to play machinist, just walking around he's like 200 hittin 140 could kill someone, plus even as a little kid empire of the sun was a great performance.
Malcolm Mcdowal-this guy has done some good performances and him in gangster number one was nutso
Daniel Craig - like to see where this homeboy takes his craft he has done alot of solid performances, i think he's the best bond yet, even better then cheeseball connery

now we all know i love the movie scarface, but he was fuckin horrible in it, half the greatness of that movie is how over the top it was. even carlito's way, it was good but if was de niro in that flick it would have been better. that reminds me sean penn is another actor i think is top shelf.

co-signed, depp would be on my list but i forgot, dafoe and walken i love those guys but i dont think they've got alot of exposure because they both have this weird look to em. but dafoe in platoon was monster and walken in king of new york was great but he still has to redeem himself after appearing in to live and die in LA and getting shot by gil grisham, who is the worst actor in the world next to that red headed fuck caruso

If I could take this thread and turn it on its head..

The other day I was over at a friend's place, and the subject of one Mr. Tom Cruise came up.. I knew I hadn't seen many of his movies, but I realized I'd never figured out just how many I had seen.

So we hit up IMDB for the full list of his work.

It turns out there was only one movie on that list that I'd actually sat down and watched start to finish, at least in recent memory, whether in a theater or on tape/DVD, and that's Magnolia, in which he was one of 10 or so "main characters". I figured I'd seen enough of Top Gun at various times on TV to say I've "seen it", and I scored Cocktail about 1/2 because I was really bored one afternoon a few years back and made it through a good chunk of the flick.

But running down the list.. Rainman, no, Colour of Money, no, Eyes Wide Shut, no, Open Your Eyes, no, Mission Impossible, none of them, Minority Report, nope, Interview with a Vampire, The Firm, Born of the Fourth of July, Jerry McGuire.. A Few Good Men I've just seen the famous court scene, (several times for some reason), which I'm grateful for because all I really want to see is Jack Nicholson losing his shit on that fruitcake.

TOM CRUISE, YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH, THE TRUTH BEING THAT I'VE SUBCONSCIOUSLY GONE OUT OF MY WAY TO AVOID EVERYTHING YOU'VE EVER BEEN A PART OF!!!

So if you're looking for least favorite mainstream actors.. there's my vote.
