Who saw it

I did first showing 12:04 (AM) we got our ticks a week before hand... stood in line up for 4 hours... then had to sketch out at subway for an hour after

SO WORTH IT

I'd say it was the best out of three, but i'm dissapointed with some of the CG, it wasn't as good as it was in the first to. (gollum i mean... the other shit was breath taking)

But fuck, i'd see it again, and again and again

Funny, that's how long it is before I'm about to go see it. =)

I'm miffed no Saruman, it would've been fine with them cutting the scouring if they left the Breaking of the Staff in at the end of The Two Towers but christ almighty, Gandalf expelling Saruman's influence from Theoden wasn't a good Final Confrontation for the two.

Oh well. Better be Extended Edition fodder.

^the final scene with Saruman & Grima will apparently be in the ROTK EE, but from how things go at the start of the theatrical version, i can't see there being a 'breaking of the staff' or any final confrontation between Gandalf & Saruman...

unfortunate, but forgivable considering the quality of the film.

I agree.... i expected him to be harder to beat..

Theres alot of things in the last movie that miffed me

I feel that some of the important guys were flat, they seemed to have lost there edge... to make way for pointless comic remarks

but the others grew.

so.. I guess... but theres more things that angered me.. but i'll shut my yap till more people see it

I saw the 12:05 am showing last night in coquitlam. Very good movie. Most of the movie was breathtaking. Took a little too long to get started. I didnt like how they didnt start it off like the 2 towers. Would of helped set the mood. But hey this movie rocked. Gotta see it again.

Totally worth seeing!! I was stunned for most of the movie. The end was a little slow.. but what a movie it was!

Spoiler warning some more.

Kay. One complaint. Not enough Pippin being badass. I mean seriously, he gets about 10 seconds of screen time fighting and that's when they get to the Black Gate. Merry they gave enough but we just didn't see Pippin being all badass.

I would've liked more Palantir stuff (IE, Aragorn looking in and being all "Bite Me" to Sauron and shit... not to mention showing why Denethor was going all crazy and stuff) but besides the Pippin thing this totally rocked.

Doom saw the marathon three movie back to back thing on tuesday.

ahhh, so good, however, he didn't liek the extended verison of the the fellowship of the ring (which Doom hadn't seen previously) they added in what Doom hated, and that was stuff hobbits.
A hobbit is good, some hobbits are fine, lots of hobbits fills doom with the desire to kill children and drink their boiled body bits.

Pippin crys alot....

But he's so cute.. so its Ok... it showed he was really brave.

i was shocked and stunned most of the time as well... like *wow... wow... WOW!* and you think the next bits gonna slow down but it doesn't!

the end really was a come down tho. it drug on.. but made it good.

I really liked the movie. although I agree some of the good characters were downplayed in this movie. there was just to much I guess to fit in even with the movie being 3 hours and 20 min. I found I was dissapointed with some of the lines that sounded a little to over acted. like the scene where eowin (sp?) stabs the nazogul. kinda cheezy. and some of the cheep humor was lame but whatever still a good watch. just not after an 8 hour shift of being on your butt all day already.

hey did u see it at guildford cuz i saw u trhere, i saw bad santa i think that was funny but ive never seen any of the lord of the rings so i dont think the third one would of made much sence

Saw it and thought it was great! Soooo much better then the second one. I have to agree that some of the CG wasnt the greatest but other then that, I would have to say it was well worth the wait.

i thought the CG was better than the last 2 personally... there's a scene near the beginning where Gollum wakes up from his dream and makes this sputtering face with his lips... looked more real than he did in TT, imo

And the Oliphant fight scenes? tell me that wasn't the most impressive CG you've ever seen...!

Awesome movie, I love it.

One complaint; I was really hoping the Shire would be overrun by Grima and Orcs like in the books when the hobbits returned home. I loved the fact that in the book they came home all completely badass and just fucked Grima up when they found him in the Shire.

Just got back, SO FUCKING GOOD...words cannot explain.
Intensely action satisfying the graphics and the visuals were amazing, and the love! Oh the wonderful cheezy love was there too. *sigh* I want to go back and see it again. :c-tard:

i didn't really like it. it was just to fast. the thing that really pissed me off was when eowyn kills the witchking...because she's not a man! maybe they should've sent a chick up to angmar a couple ages ago eh?

all in all the movie pissed me off. i just hope the extended version is better.

Please. No. A 15 minute denouement is already too long in a movie setting. Just leave it for the EE and be happy.

YAH! TOLKIEN SI TEH SUTPID!

The reason the Nazgul were so feared was because it was legend that "No Man Could Kill It." Legends are like that: fuzzy. Tolkien was pissed off with Macbeth a lot. He didn't like the fact that the Trees didn't actually attack and he didn't like the fact that the man wasn't sprung from a woman's loins because he had a C-section... He thought they were both cheap. He was waiting for trees to attack and some chick to kill Macbeth....

So he fixed in in LotR.

i ordered tickets for opening day at 2:30pm silvercity richmond and they kept delaying the movie saying they had to change the bulb on the projector then after 30mins of wiating thye come in and say the show has to be cancelled and also stating they cant put us in any other theatre cause all the shows were sold out. But luckily richmond centre's 4:15 show wasnt even close to selling out and was forced to see it there. great movie to say the least

i wouldn't say that tolkien is stupid. i just didn't like the movie and that was one of the parts i didn't like.

i haven't read macbeth, so i'll have to take your word on the rest of that quote.
