Tarantino himself describes kill bill as a "duck press" of all the grindhoues cinema he's absorbed over the past 35 years

i loved it! i just watched the first one this week...i liked it, but it didn't live up to the expectations that had been set by everyone who hyped it up. it was actually better the second time i watched it cause i knew what to expect, and had a better idea of what tarintino was going for. vol. 2 was better, imho. i won't put any spoilers in here esp since it JUST came out, but go and see it!! near the very end it gets to be kinda long winded (about a span of 10-15 minutes), but other than that, it was awesome.

I found some of the dialogue to be a bit chessy, but apart from that, great movie.

The fight scene between Elle Driver and (insert uma thurman's character's name here. i don't spoil it for you guys but they stop bleeping it out half way through the movie) was so rad! The entire audience was like, "Oh, SNAP!"

*1.5 thumbs up*

went to check it out last night and loved it!! a tribute to classic martial arts movies made in the trademark tarantino style. due to the wicked plot twists and a bit less gratuitous gore (which i found to be a bit much in vol 1) i'd say i enjoyed vol 2 even more than the first one.

Okay, I just saw this movie yesterday...here's my thoughts:

This movie was quite different from the first one, in that the first one was just a lot of plain action and fighting and blood and gore and excitement, and this one was more the history and the story behind the action and fighting and blood and gore. Which was cool to see.

I thought the ending with Bill was really good. Don't want to spoil anything, but yeah, it was very well done.

All in all, cool series. I'm not disapointed at all.

if ur saying that and you mean cheap tuesday i think you dont have to pick that day. I believe all theatres have the new price in effect which is 1 set price for any time or day. I know for a fact the place i went today (richmond centre) already had it in effect

it was a good movie, but... i walked into the theater expecting something a little more like the first one; lotsa action and funny shit! but NOPE! all i got was a lotta talking and a flashback...

i never really expected to get bored at a tarantino film, but..yea... it was a cool story, and it made for a good series... but it was just a little too much gabber for me...

You tell 'em Tim!

Yeah, i don't really understand how someone could watch that movie and then think that Tarantino was trying to play everything seriously. I mean, like c'mon, have you seen his other movies? He always pushes things to the point of insanity.

I saw what he was doing, and what he was going for. I still think it sucked.
I rented Vol.1 last night and it was one of the bigger dissapointments I've had in a while.
