Lol I never compared it with The Matrix. I think they're different, similar, but different :p

eXistenZ is essentially one of those movies that try to make the audience wonder what's real and what's not. Just like The Matrix. Just like The Butterfly Effect. Just like The Jacket.

I think it was out in 1999?? Not sure.

But how it presents this idea is pretty unique, I thought.

watched this last night... holy crap the acting was pretty terrible. i remember watching cube 1 and really enjoyed it.. cube 2 was just cube 1 repeated with horrible acting.

frankly.. i can see where the idea of the movie was good.. but it sucked
