He only made the sims 2 once. My favourite sim games are Simcity, Simcity 2000, SimAnt, SimTower and the Sims 2, except, the only reason I played sims 2 is because I wanted to make a mammoth of a home, and have my people doing random luxurious shit in between their jobs. Im assuming the novelty of this game wont wear off after a couple of days of playing it, at least, I hope it doesnt.

I have been awaiting this game for literally a year, can't wait to see if the stories are fact or fiction. Big things to be said about Spore.

Give it to the guy to create a huge game. but ultimately ran short of the most important part of a game.
playing it.

and not so much it's a buggy game.. it's just extremely repetitious.
But the 3 in 1 game idea is rad.

I watched a youtube clip of spore this morning and i'm a fan. I was totally skeptical up (ESPECIALLY since it was in the KRAZY! art exhibit before the game's release) until i saw the 1 hr demonstration (which was removed after i watched it) and it looks so expansive and involved that I now want to play it. The idea of planetary domination is one thing, but inter stellar domination too!? sweeetttt...

It was pretty sweet how the KRAZY exhibit's video game area was selected by Will Wright, and lo and behold, there was Spore, a game that hasn't even been released and yet is somehow a part of the "history" of gaming.

im just about to go to space in Spore.

the best way i can descibe Spore is that its a collection of all the really great games ideas of the last 15 years but dumbed down and played in sequence. i mean i can name the games ive played in spore

flOw -> world of warcraft -> generic rts (warcraft 1) -> Z (rts + civilization-esqe stuff) -> 4x space sim

with all of this its got a shit-ton of customization and ways to play the game, along with unlockable parts and modules. every game has a way to win by being 'peaceful' or by being a total dick.

its a remarkable achievement on how it is all brought together. that being said once i beat it once or twice (quite possible to do one full "play through" in a 2-5 hours if you arent interested in the fluff) i dont know how much i will play it. how much you enjoy spore is going to be dependent on how much you love the open ended creation portion of it. there is MONTHS of playtime in there if you care.
