Mostly euphoric dance music of all genres and types, but lately I've been studying a lot of chillout/psy and healing music and am diving more and more into breaks as well.

The ability to showcase beautifull music that people otherwise wouldn't have the opportunity to hear in their current environment.

What does your DJ name signify?

I originally didn't start as a dj as many people do, and slowly evolve to production of their own originality in their sets. I started as a producer and slowly evolved as a dj...
Producing under the alias Infinityloop I slowly became djnfinity, for one there was already a prominent "dj infinity" but regardless of that I had already thought (n)finity because 'n' in mathematical terms is a symbol that is used when you power something- eg. to the power of 'n' and when you power x to n it is infinate so... nfinity it was.

my playlist is constantly growing and each track, mix, and sound influences my dj'ing.

My name is Catalin, I'm 24, and I live in Canada. I like to compose music, and I've been at it for about 6 years now. My love for electronic dance music started early- and even when i was 3 years old I would run around the house jumping up and down to when my dad would play Kraftwerk and the faster Jean Michel Jarre tracks. I've been playing classical instruments since gr. 1 and in 2000 I first started experimenting with FL studio and the Dream of one day producing some electronic dance music like the tracks that have touched me so much. Since then I've started focusing my time on learning theory, electronics, synthesis, compositional styles, recording practices and everything that goes into releasing a full product for sale. Since I had already learned this on my own, I decided to put myself to the test and start a my own record label: Infinity Loop Music and have put out 2 chillout/downtempo CD's, about 10 Singles releases, and 2 EP's. You can find this in my discography section.

Since the beginning I've been about producing and sharing amazing music no matter of it's genre, target audience, or current fame. I believe in the power of music to do good in this harsh world, I try to show the beauty that is already here to be appreciated and live to experience. Lately I've started going in some specific directions with my music and when that gets specialized and far away from my usual productions I give it another name. I've branched into several different avenues of EDM each one no more powerful and beautiful than the next.

I've really focused on my productions in the past and I didn't have much time to really focus on the direction that music was going to take me. I was going to university which occupied most of my time, even though I wanted to be in the music and EDM scene DJ'ing and sharing all of these productions I had composed. The internet is a great and valuable resource but it can only get you so far. I'm more of a hands on kind of guy so it took me a while to get really harnessing the internet powers. Nevertheless, lately I have had the opportunities to get out and do a lot of the hands on experience and really have the drive to focus on it.

In the past 2 years I've really focused on building a future for myself in music and still strive to one day produce a track that will inspire you to take your future into your own hands and see the wonderful, overwhelming, and true beauty of this world.
