good place to get your hair done???????

i know there's probably been like a million of these threads before but i need something current and would LOVE to know the best place to get my hair done.

i'm super nervous, i've been going to the same person for over 3 years religiously but she's so overbooked i can't get in til nov.18th which is just f'ing rediculous.

so i need someone thats REALLY REALLY good with colour and REALLY REALLY good with styles for girls with LOTS of thick hair!

I always reply to these threads really quickly to bigups my stylist...I've sent ashlee and nev to her and they love her. She is awesome with colour, you saw me recently..imagine that not too long ago I had a head full of years of box dyed black :P she is amaziiing with colour

anyways, try clear salon at burrard and burnaby and book with janelle!

reason i'm so particular about how a stylist does their colour is because i'm naturally dark and my hair is completely blonde without that orange hue and is totally healthy, it takes talent to accomplish that!

i am so booking my appointment today......its looooooong overdue!

QFT, Myra beat me to it.

I am forever indebted to Myra and Ashlee for the recommendation (and SHARING!) of Janelle at Clear. She LISTENS to what you want, which is so important to people who have vision/a certain way they want something to turn out. Also, she's GREAT with colour. She won't over process, and she can go to great lengths to reverse or correct colour (like a previously brassy job I had from someone else once, or say Myra going from dark to light).

I will concur for Lindsay too! The only reason I stopped going to her is because I now earn hair cuts by djing at Bent Salon.

That said I can also recommend Sasha or Chrystal at Bent Salon on Davie and Richards.

I have fine hair, but a lot of it. The above are very neat and careful with their work. Always happy with their colouring and cutting. If you want a very basic natural look... they are the few I have come across in the city who will do this with out trying to give you a make over or experiment on you. I like to work with a stylist who will suggest but not push and together talk through what is I want and always double checks.

I've had cuts/styles from her umpteen times in the last 6-7 years, and I've NEVER had a bad one.
