sometimes getting laid off can depend on how long you've been there, not how good of a worker you are..

anyways if you do get laid off, don't worry there are TONS of other jobs out there

So very true! I lost a good job in Chilliwack just because they had to lay people off and I was the newest one there. They even told me to come back next year because I was an excellent worker there, but just to new!

not necessarily. it can be a good opportunity to seperate the wheat from the chaff. also depends on if the place is unionized, etc.

In a non unionized environment layoffs are used to get rid of trouble makers, people that are over paid, and the like. I used to love layoff time at my old office because I was pretty sure not to get laid off and it was usually people I didn't like who did.

I chose to ignore. I am allowed to surf FNK whenever I want. because of the new law that passed in the US making online gambling illegal....its been very slow. Your comment was not offensive to me as it is something I take into consideration when there is work to do :)
