Were looking at off shore clients. Its hard though. There is a while till the bill goes officially into effect. but still scary.

Kat - don't worry. Worrying about it only makes it worse. And the worst thing that can happen is that you do get laid off and you have to find another job. I know the stress of finding another job but everything happens for a reason. Try to focus on the good things. For every bad thing that happens there is always a good thing behind it or underneath it or beside it whatever. You just have to dig sometimes to find it.

I haven't made my money back on that venture yet. :(

But I decided a while back that I can't work for anyone as an employee.

I'll do contract work since that allows me to work at my own schedule but that is just to make enough money so I can go start another business so I can get some residual income off that as well.

Better to have 5-6 small businesses that make you $3-500 each month than to work for someone as a slave don't you think?

When I was 19, I was a draftsman, that was my big career plan. One day, out of the blue, one of the projects we were working on failed. Someone had to be layed off, since I didn't have a family to support I was the one to go.

However, it ended up being the best thing to ever happen to me. It allowed me to take a serious look at my chosen career and decide it wasn't for me.

In all honesty, if I hadn't been laid off, I would probably still be working there, which is a prospect that scares me now.

im soooooooo supremely lucky to have my gig.they let me come and go as i pleased. and unless i steal something.....i will pretty much always have a gig. ive evan told my store manager to go fuck himself once!!!. he promplty suspended me but i came back on the monday. i loved it.
