haha.. i call my friends losers sometime, "you're such a loser!" but in a friendly way... or idiot, but not too often..
I have no significant other but I used to call my bunny rabbit and hamster (when I'm alone because that's kinda embarassing) thousands of names when I'd greet them: "hey.... poopsie hunny bun hamsie-poop ham-chan u-chan uusuke u-chin shweetttieee shwetiepiee baby babes keeeyuuutie! bunnywunny cutsie-poop booo you.

i hate being called those names especially hun sweetie darling, i went through a phase of protesting against those names and explainin to the world not to call me "that", but I've given up. I still twitch sometimes at being called "hunny" or "hun" but i'm pretty much used to it now, since it's such a "fad" or something now..
i think it's degrading, makes you feel less, when you're the same age... It also depends on who says it , some people who heartedly say "hunny" or "darling" but the common use of these labels" kinda takes away *heart* from the word, and makes it just another empty degrading pet-name... My psychology teacher whom I HATE, called me "darling" and I told him not to call me that, i felt sick like I got the petophile treatment or something. in my rabbit's case I figure, rabbits and hamsters can't complain, and I don't mean to say them they just come out cuz they were so damn cute sometimes. But I've never called any one "darling etc..." out of blank emotion (at least not purposefully) because I expect the same respect,

my ex boyfriend used to call me babydoll or babygrrrl......i liked that! i dunno.....i actually like being called hunny or sweetie.....i like when people call me my nickname jules cuz it person-izes the situation, and makes it seem more "special" and like they know me better
