Sunshyne : The stupidity would be in asking strangers for advice on your private matters. In a sense you are making a private matter a public issue, but let's face it most people aren't going to care or give you wondeful advice if they don't do so in real life. (if they don't ACTUALLY care about you is what i am saying)

I have a honest question for you, and it's not catty in any sense, but do you have close friends? Do you have a best friend ? A person in real life who you value? If so, why don't you try calling them sometimes, because they can likely give you advice that is best suited for you.

It seems like you have a lot of time on your hands as well, because i see that you start a lot of threads and often i don't read them because i know what drama will follow. I know your bored at work but you could always just get a livejournal or play online scrabble.


Anyway, I hope you and your boyfriend hump like rabits and that you no longer need fnk to cheerlead your sex life. Good luck!

I asked for advice from an outsiders view. My friends all live with room mates, or their parents... I have no one to relate to in a situation like this. Excuse me for wanting a new light shed on things. Do you honestly think I wouldn't have spoken to my friends first?

What is your problem? As far as I can see, she was trying to be nice. There's no need to talk to her like that unless she struck a chord. Maybe she was honestly concerned that seeing as how you recently moved out here you may not have met a lot of really close friends yet. I don't see anything wrong with that. She is right, the friends you can call up who know you well enough and know your situation are going to give you the best advice, even people who live with their s/o may not be in the same situation and may not give you advice that you find very helpful.

As much as I think that the majority of Sunshynes post are stupid and ignorant..and Im going to have to say that most of yours are just pointless.

She already said that she talked to her friends - unfortunately none of them live with boyfriends/husbands. Sometimes it IS refreshing to get an outside opinion. I've learned a lot of valuable things talking to strangers. Everyone has a different opinion.

So many people have posted personal things on this board with hopes of an outside opinion. Im sure you have done the same. I love how you are the first one to bag on people about jumping on the bandwagon - yet everything you have said to her, has already been said. =D

^ exaclty, i don't read the details of these marathon threads...i took a study break, read her plea and responsded. I guess i just have common sense.

And all posts on fnk are pointless IMO, including yours. WHY?

I would say it's a distraction from real life, a silly escape that i hold no value to. It's for fun...and of course when ppl post personal stuff others are going to make fun. I don't think fnk is the place to be taken seriously, i'm sorry you feel differently and i'm glad, as sunshyne put it that fnk has also "shown you the way."

I learned a long time ago that posting personal stuff here was naive and a waste of time, but i am not at all closed minded so if she is happy with this thread - that is all that matters.
