Why Can't Girls...
Simple Question...
as the world turns and women are becoming more and more independent. Why hasn't the role of "asking out" altered in any way. Why can't girls be more open with asking guys out instead of having the guy face acceptance or rejection all of the time ?? Is it because the girl doesn't want to feel desperate or like shes 'too' available ??

I used to be super shy and waited for guys to ask me out...I'm still shy in certain situations, but not with the whole "asking out" deal. If I get to know a guy, like him, and feel that there are some mutual feelings between us, then I'd definitely go for it.

lil bebe asked me out ...I knew she liked me and she was pretty sure that I wanted to go out with her....but seeing as how I had recently been involved with the breaking up of her bf' I wasn't sure I should as her out too soon...after 2 weeks she asked me out and I said no just for fun.....it's all about the chase

it isn't love, the emotion that hurts.. but what comes with being in "love" the rest of what you're feeling is a different emotion.. but it just comes with the package... but that's only a perspective frum lil ol me who has never been in love... but this wont change until i actually do so i can't be convinced otherwise.. love itself is an emotion it isn't fair to categorize it as pain.. when pain is another emotion in itself... -says yoko* :)

i had a problem in high school where every girl thought i was gay, and i had a lot of encounters with gay guys... i didn't realize that all the girls thought i was gay until like grade 11 i found out that there were all these chicks that liked me but weren't sure if i was straight or gay... so i went out and asked this girl out, and sooo many other girls gave me dirty looks for the rest of high school... ahahahaha... so i dunno... maybe girls think ur gay, that could be a reason why ur not getting any action... another word of advice, don't make it look like you're desperately seeking a woman... girls don't like to see that look on a man's face... desperation. just let things happen, and i'm sure everything will work out.

In terms of looking for a relationship, desperate guys are one of the biggest turn-offs ever. So are guys that are only looking for some ass.

Actually, I get hit on by Homos quite often.
Mostly at raves if I'm off dancing by myself or something... Erica, that azn guy who hit on me with the martial arts pickup line was way back last november at PhatFarm... the most recent guy was at MagicMountain5 out in CHilliwack... Some british dood kept staring at meeh and putting his arm around me when he talked to meeh... then he left and I caught him checkin me out a few times and complimeting me on how good I danced... Ack !!! maybe people do think I'm gay.. Aahhhhhh!!!! But then again, wouldn't girls like me more if I was gay ? gurls always think gay guys are hot...

well with my gf she made the first move i guess by actually telling me her feelings for me.....don't worry....it had taken her a long fucking time so i now know so i wouldn't advise makin em work that hard....im still willing to try and help something, that i want to happen, along....but i was the one who asked her out...so i guess that doesn't count...
but if i had to say anything id say it's had something to do with the way we evolved and probably once mated....many animals use pheromones to attract mates and stuff and the male usually picks up on this and makes his move or whatever..so maybe its that when there's a situation with us as well...guys "pick up" on the fact that this girl possibly is into them so they make a move....unless of course we have those other emotions which hinder us from doing so..such as being self-conscious....but getting over that whole thing helps because the whole fear of rejection eventually gets easier and easier to deal with i guess.... i dunno...jus a thought... corrie
