I dunno, i dated a 21 year old when I was 17 and he was just as emotionally immature as me at the time.. if not more...
Remember all the stupid highschool drama that you had to put up with in highschool, and all the petty things people gossiped about? That's exactly what she's going through right now. Realistically, while you're planning for your major in university, she's going to be planning what to wear for prom. If you can understand, accept, and put up with the fact that you're both in different places in life and still enjoy her company I think that you should go for it... Who knows, things might not "work out" chemistry-wise anyway. |

In response to the original question:
I'm 18, just finishing high school and all my recent relationships have been with guys over 20 and I see no problem. However, all 18 year old girls are different, so I can't speak on behalf of all of them. |

totally depends on a guy and gal..and maturity level and lifestyles.
i know when i was 16 i went out with a guy just 3 years older and it was close to hell, cuz he lived far away and out of school..and had hell of a lot more freedom... and i didn't drive, had a curfew and jobless and it was just the toughest thing to deal with. at the time i was more in aww that he was a good looking boy and maybe a bit that he's older.... i was shallow and totally the typical highschool girl. i dont think ure situation is too bad at all..shes 18, which means shes graduating real soon. these next 3 months will be her busiest days, so you mite have trouble fitting into her timetable, but after it all...URE ALL HERS. i remember another one of my ex's picked me up every morning before my provincials and took me out for breakfast and gave me a pep talk and dropped me off. that was pretty cute. give it a shot..dont treat her like a highschool girl and that she's "less" because of it. i fuckin hate ppl who look down on me when they find out my age..so if u dare to do that to her.. im gonna kick yo ass. i myself just resantly turned 22 and my girlfriend is 17. she is in grade 12 and going to finish high school soon. we've been together for just over 10 months. i truely believe that i found the girl of my dreams in her. sure sometimes it's difacult because of the age differents, but nothing so seriouse that i every thought that we couldn't work it out. i love her soo much and i don't care what anyone thinks about the age differents between us.

The fact that she lied sucks, but if you're over it then fine. The age difference isn't that bad actually one of my boyfriends was 21 when I was 17 and we did lots of things together. One thing she could do is get a fake ID. is all that you would do with a girl usually go to clubs and bars. The one thing that you are going to have to realize though is that you may have to engage in highschool activities every once and a while like drinking on the beach.

I"ve always dated older guys... a 2 year age difference is nothin, besides girls are usually mature faster than guys, so girls dating older men is easier on them. But the fact that she lied about her age is sorta hurting... lol. I only lie about my age to bouncers and hot younger guys lol. Take her for dinner, thats not too formal. Take her shopping (she'll fucking love that) or just sit around and watch movies at home or at the theater. Walks in the park are good if you're both very active people. And try to find someone that looks like her that is nineteen and hook her up with a fake id.

Go have fun with her, 2 years is nothing....
And for all those with big age differences ie 24-25 to 17-18, You may think she is "THE ONE", dont think its going to last. im only 20 have known TONS of girls in that situation, and its nice for you older guys having a younger girl i know, but they will cheat on you. The reason for that is usually guys in that age with younger girls get controlive, and girls in that age dont want to settle down just yet, and the rare times you let them go out with thier friends they WILL party hard, with guys like me. And I i will not let girls throw thier young life away with old farts that dont let them out of the house and are always using lines like these: "Did anyone hit on you" "where are you going" X20 a day "you cant have guy friends" "i dont like when you go out with your friends" "its friday, lets just stay home and order pizza, AGAIN" "dont go to clubs or raves" "ill stop by your work a couple times a day" ETC..... |

2 years is nothing in the grand scheme of things. Now I'm 27 and dating a highschool girl is most definetly out of the question but to be honest with you I'm looking for a girl thats more focused than a good 98% of the highschool female population. If you have a vibe with her stick with it you never know where it could lead.

i'm 18 and i don't like to date guys my own age b/c they are too imature, so usually it works for me, and a lot of my friends who are the same age, to go out with guys in their 20's
it really sucks that she lied though... thats not a good sign but hey try it out and see how you guys work together and as said above, age is just a number.. to an extent!! have fun |
