Asexual quite literally means a creature or a biological process (see: Dance) that does not involve sex.

To fuck yourself is not asexual, but rather autosexual.

im pretty sure serials rite... asexual means reproduction by splitting! like how ameoba (not sure of spelling) reproduce by splitting! also as myra said ur cells do it all the time.

asexual:
A type of reproduction involving only one parent that produces genetically identical offspring by budding or by the division of a single cell or the entire organism into two or more parts.

Literally asexual means "nonsexual", but we're still sexual beings given that we still produce the gametes necessary for sex (regardless of whether or not sex actually occurs).
