Things to do Before I Die
So maybe I'm not a teenager anymore, and school is occupying more and more of my time, pretty soon it will be my job occupying all my time. So this got me thinking, I should make a list, of all those things I want to do in my life time.
I think my list is pathetically small considering I have over half a lifetime to complete them. What's your list of things to accomplish? Here's mine: Obligatory: go skydiving/bungee jumping, try chemical drugs have not yet tried (ie. lcd, ketamine), travel to: africa, india, australia, south america, bulgaria, S.E. asia, cuba, trinidad. I want to see the galapagos islands, travel on the amazon river, hike machupitchu, fall deeply in love, become fluent in russian (also refresh my french and spanish), finish my school, get my dream job, live in a 3rd world country for a period of time, find my half brother, sew a quilt, sell at least one painting/photo, learn to dance salsa, see new orleans during marti gras, be in trinidad or cuba for festivale, learn to play the guitar.... Now your turn.

i want to have my own show at the grunt gallery, show peices in another country, see every bit of south america that i can, finish my dads dream of driving from here to as far south as possible and then continuing on until i reach the far south tip of south america, always love\smile but remember to cry, develope a style of art, work with\around kids at all points in my life, still have the same feeling of sadness and loss everytime i sell a painting (never loosing the fact that i put my heart in all my work), always keeping the self confidence i have now, having kids and ensuring their happines through un-materialistics things, climb a mountain, run a marathon - even if i dont run the whole thing just completing one, give as much effort and care and love into supporting the research of cancer, never stop painting, never succumb to a job i hate because the money is good, write a book, illustrate a book, live in new york for awhile and get my own show there, i want to be alone - truely alone for sometime to experience the realization that i will be ok in the world, learn to dance with someone i love (tango, salsa, ballroom....) get married only once, i want to see as many sun rises and sunsets as i can, i want to always ALWAYS remember how proud my dad is of me and his smile and laugh and the way he is always one my side, i want to always have the strength i have now, i'd like to kick it in new zealand for a couple of months and see my herritage in wales, receive education in another country, build my own furniture or at least a peice or two, i want to take up yoga, enrich my mind in the philosophies and beliefs of other cultures, become more politically aware, live on a beach, live in a forest and live in a massive city, i want to always have mornings where i wake up with a paint brush in one hand and a canvas beside me.
my list could go on and on... but i'll cut it short there.

I've been doing a lot of ho humming of what I want to do. So i will make a public list:
~Use the knowledge about First Nations issues and put it to some good use by helping oppressed First Nations people reclaim their spirit to full. I have acouple ideas of how I am going to get there, and what I will do when I am there, but the struggle will be strenuous. ~I want to go to fashion school. Learn the ways of the trade. ~I want to learn to Ravens Tale and Chilkat weave which is a life long dream ~I want to learn to speak Smiglieux, the language of the Tsimpsian people ~I want to start up a small business - fashion related &/or non-profit organization which will advocate for First Nations people in Vancouver or Port Simpson. ~I want to have a feast ~I want to sew a quilt too (I am in the process of doing this, Thanks FPrincess) ~I want to sew a blanket ~I want to go to Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Japan. ~I want to create a song to be sung in my house ~I want to learn old stories and keep them documented ~I want to learn to salsa dance too! ~I want to make cheesecake, and learn to cook Italian, and Greece food. There is others but those are more along the lines of what I want to do tomorrow. <3, stina g.

i've been keeping a list since i was little...it grows all the time. there are some weird things on it, i want to make sure i try a little bit of everything before i die.
a couple days ago i got to cross number 120 off my list: eat an entire apple, including core, seeds, stem. it felt good :)

own my own clothing store go scuba diving go travelling around the world... aus, thailand, euro, china.. for sure! visit chile and see family and learn more about the culture go skydiving fall in love again go to tibet have a beautiful family own a porche 911 turbo work for greenpeace (or something along the lines of that)/make a change in the world. spin out at a party learn hip hop & salsa if i can do all these things.. i think i would die pretty happy. :) Last edited by Veni*C; Oct 29, 04 at 09:13 AM.

hmmm...
*I want travel to: 1. Thailand 2. Europe 3. Japan 4. Australia 5. China (family & 2008 olympics) and especially 6. Chile b/c the last time I was there I was like 4 yrs old and I plan on stayin for 6+ months w/ family to learn spanish and the culture.
*I want the Canucks to win the stanley cup! *Become police officer or firefighter *Do the Ironman Hawaii, Eco Challenge, Sky diving, bungee jumping *Have a family of my own.

i wanna go to belgium and see my familys castle.
i wanna find the lawyer who has the deed to my great uncles land in new york. i want to figure out whos the other domenico ieraci running around BC. i want to own a restaurant or cafe one day. i wanna go to italia and punch my zio nicodemo in the face. but if hes dead before i do that pissing on his tombstone will suffice. i want a colonic! but most important of all,I want to tell the people who i never told cuz I was too afraid to tell them...that I love them.

speaking Spanish is so wicked! i'm taking Intro. to Spanish right now and its so much fun (can't believe i just said that) and if you have any french speaking background like maybe a year or so Spanish will be a breeze, it's really simple to learn and this is coming from a steady C grade student so i hope you all love speaking Español as i do

- finish all the various projects i've been working on for what seems like forever
- build projects into successful businesses - make millions - buy fast car, expensive house - get into real estate, buy out half of vancouver - become billionaire - travel world - go to australia to see a toilet flush backwards, and run around screaming, "A dingo ate my baby!" - go cow tipping in india - take a baby seal clubbing - inspect USA for WMDs - kidnap bush, replace with similar looking chimpanzee - expose myself to nuclear waste in hopes of developing superpowers, or in the very least, a healthy green glow - take over world - travel to edge of universe in spaceship made mostly out of cardboard and duct tape
