The thing is, I don't know if I believe in the bi-sexual lifestyler per se....I believe that you are born gay or straight.

And yes, I agree you can be sexually attracted to the same sex, but that doesn't mean you could have a relationship with them. I think that is what these people aren't sitting down to think about.

I have a guy friend who likes both men and women, and he doesn't do it because he is bi-sexual, he says himself, he is a slut.

I've got to disagree with you on that one. But I have my own personal reasons for that. :)

So you're born gay or straight. What's stopping a person from being tolerant enough to accept a deeper then friendship relationship with either gender? Where's the concrete line defined as limiting someone from, lets call it a bi-sensual relationship, a relationship without sex, to a bi-sexual relationship.

If put in your context, are you saying sexual acts define a meaningful relationship?

Well to be perfectly open and honest, I have had a few relationships with females before. And one of them was one of the best relationships I have ever had. :) I realized when I was about 7 that I really liked boys and girls (well at the time I still thought boys were gross, but girls were great. lol). And I've been attracted to both ever since, physically and emotionally.

Ohhhhh, I thought you were going to go into the whole, it's a lifestyle thing, etc, etc, etc......I can understand where you are coming from there. You are exactley what I was talking about, if you have had a serious relationship with a girl, then yes, I believe that you define the true meaning of bi-sexuality.

Goat - I am saying that other people people define their sexuality by their acts. To me my sexuality is based on the whole package. And I could say that I have a bi-sensual relationship with my close friends. The ones that get me, that I confide to, that confide in me, that I go to. I am not saying that people can't connect on a deeper level, I am saying that the term is thrown around way to loosely.

Well, it's not necessarily a lifestyle- it's either a part of you or not. Is there even really a 'bisexual lifestyle', and what would the definition of that be I wonder. :)

i hate watching people make out, gay, straight.. whatever

keep it behind closed doors please..

and yes, being bi i think has turned into a fad

i also think that you see it more because it was just highly discriminated against before, now it's more accepted, so more people are coming out and finding their sexuality...

but on the most part i think it's mainly for attention..

i am striaght, but i also keep an open mind to other people and other oppurtunities.

I definitely agree that girls who make out with eachother when completely wasted for attention gives bisexuality a bad name...well, maybe not bad...but I don't consider that to make someone bi.

The term is just what each person makes of it I suppose. Whether it be only on an emotional or sexual level, or whether it be both.

i knew a guy who dated my cousin and he calimed to be bi-sexual though he had never actually "been" with another man or had a realtionship with one. Though he was determined to and he was sure that he would be good at pleasing another man. I never saw him as bi-sexual though i always thought that he was more "open-minded" in that way...

I'm sorry, but isn't bi-sexuality a characteristic/trait that equals a lifestyle?

I think that people's definition of gay, straight, bi-sexual will all differ in opinion depending on their exposure to it.

i honestly don't think it's such an abosulte thing as only being straight or gay... i definitely ascribe to the popular belief that sexuality is somewhat of a sliding-scale thing to a degree and even that's not exactly accurate. What about people who are attracted to trans-gendered people and the like? Not quite as simple as saying you're "either straight or gay"

Flip is on a distinguished road
I think to a certain degree everyone can find the same sex attractive, it's just a matter of whether the person is willing to admit it or if they are to afraid of what others will think. In today's society, it's considered a turn-on for guys, if a chick is into other chicks. On the other hand if a guy gives any sign of being attracted to men, all his friends will tease him and possibly stop hanging out with him(except his gay or bi friends) So women are rewarded and men are punished for being bi.

The fact is, you'll often hear a chick say "wow she looks so hot...." about another chick, even if she is in no way bi or even pretending to be. But how often do you hear a guy in a group of guy friends say "hey, that dude's got a sweet ass..."? Not very often. Now I'm a fairly straight person, I don't claim to be bi or anything but I'm sorry, there are a few Brad Pitt moments that made me go "Dude, that's hot!" or in the x-men movies, Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) is totally hot, but only as Wolverine, not really in other movies. Oh and Jeff Hardy from wrestling is totally hot too, that's who inspired me to get my belly button pierced the first time.

I think those chicks who only act bi in public to get attention are just as bad as those steroid monkeys who always walk around with thier shirts off just so people will look at thier chemically created bodies, or those chicks who will purposely dress as slutty as possible just to get looks from guys. If you are at home alone with a member of the same sex and you decide to play around, then you are doing it for yourself and that's your own buisness who you wanna fool around with. Once it becomes an attention plea, go find a hobby.

Wow Flip, you impress me sometimes. And good on you for admitting a man is attractive. It shows how secure you are in your sexuality.

Maybe I didn't understand what you were initially asking. What I was saying is that some of my friendships are really intense. That you could possibly say some of my friends are bi-sensual. We offer compassion, understanding and friendship. We listen, we hold, we cry, all if we need to. But I am not attracted to them in any way shape or form.
