yeah, but voyager is what happens when they try to make a trek for the fans.

what would be really cool is if they just got some good writers to do something with it, which is unfortunate because the regular rotation of writers hasn't really done anything good in about 7 years or so.

good writing is what made the first three series'. and the lack thereof is what killed the last two.

agreed fully. even tho i watched voyager till the end.. when DS9 went off air voyager should have too.. the wrighting went down hill-

I have hope trek will be good again... when they start thinking about fans.. and keeping a good thing going insted of what cool CG crap they can put in.. or how a naked vulcan can make people watch... we'll get back to trek essentals... something with the sweetness of voyager the story of TNG and the heart of Ds9.... oh and the humor of TOS

hopefully well have something again.. until then we can get along knowing reruns rule!

sorry, the odd-numbered TOS ones were ridiculous....

wrath of khan was the best of the movies, the voyage home was the really funny one (intentionally though, unlike TMP....), and The Undiscovered Country had some cool cold war allegory going on there...

so i still stand by my comment as well. TNG movies would have been the same had they not fucked up nemesis so badly. apparently it was actually a very well-written movie that the director just outright fucked over...

the first movie was kind of a showcase for visual effects that are now obsolete, making it difficult to watch because of the long gaps in the movie showing off landscapes and old skool trippiness... and the search for spock was the connector between two and four, so even though it has dry moments I still enjoy it... and I still enjoy five now and again... not going to argue the even rule, because the even ones are better, and the odd ones all have had poor reviews by the majority, but I wasn't trying to reflect the opinions of the majority, just my own, and I think that even though the even ones are better, that doesn't (in my opinion) make the odd ones bad... and in my edit comment I still made consideration to the even rule...

but whatever...... :P
