Weddings.
i'm contemplating.
"a out doors "pagan celtic" wedding, simplistic pretty dressy. with family and friends." or "run away to vagas and get married Trekky style. with starfleet uniforms and EVERYTHING" i can't choose.

if you can get away with it do it! Unfortunatly for me i have a mother great with Guilt trips, so i will be having the church wedding in the winter though. Altho I am happy about it now, i realise it will mean alot with our friends there

i'd do the small outdoors wedding with close friends and family.
if theres one thing im going to miss whenever it is that i get married, is the family members i know who wont be there. but that aspect of the wedding isnt important to everyone - its more important to be getting married then to have the moment shared with other people. and thats totally amazing in its own sense if a quick vegas wedding is more your style, get er done. the theme sounds awesome - thats like my dads dream wedding. just get a video done like krismata said, share that with the family. youre the one thats gettin married, so it really should be all about you and the husband not whos there. personally, im all for a beach, friends and family, sunset, and acoustic guitar playing some beatles and some stones and some zepplin in the background. actually ideally, paul mccartney, mick jagger and robert plant would all be singing. and a big bouquet of sweat peas and sunflowers and dhalias.

</sarcasm> seriously, they're out of ideas. they need to drop the franchise until someone with more drive and creativity than Berman comes back and revitalises it, like Harve Bennett and Nick Meyer did when they came from absolutely nowhere of trek-activity and created wrath of khan. Seriously. People tried to tout Nemesis as the Khan of TNG? bullshit. Meyer hadn't even ever seen any trek before he set out to write wrath of khan and Nemesis was written by a fucking fanfic writer. and then they chose someone who PRIDED himself on not liking trek to direct the freaking thing, introducing plot holes the size of seti alpha VI and ultimately destroying the whole even-numbered rule. I think trek needs to just stop being produced and left alone until another generation has the initiative to bring it back. to quote teen girl squad: IT'S OVER!!!! </nerd>

I liked "first contact" (movie #8) but other than that the TNG movies have sucked... and even first contact didn't really stand out... Nemesis would have been an good two-part episode for the series, but for a movie it was a total let down... well... sorry about jacking the thread... anyways... discord... if you're going to have a wedding, be SERIOUS about it... so as much as I love star trek, don't do the vegas trek theme... I really think you'd look back on it negatively if you did...

TNG movies start from 7-10, and 10 being the exception to the "even rule"... so that means that even though half of the original movies "sucked" (by consideration of the even rule) that only one TNG movie was good... they technically have two less movies than the original so they could make it up, but I doubt two more TNG movies are going to come... so until TNG serves up two really good movies in the future, my comment still stands... Star Trek: The Motion Picture was a freaking joke. VEE-GER... yeah, straight lols there.
then there was Star Trek III: The Search for Plot.... and then Star Trek V: Kirk vs. God..... sorry, the odd-numbered TOS ones were ridiculous.... wrath of khan was the best of the movies, the voyage home was the really funny one (intentionally though, unlike TMP....), and The Undiscovered Country had some cool cold war allegory going on there... so i still stand by my comment as well. TNG movies would have been the same had they not fucked up nemesis so badly. apparently it was actually a very well-written movie that the director just outright fucked over...

Deep Space 9 movie is going to be made in the next few years.
Gabe Koerner: (trekkies) will make star trek good again. He is currently doing the CG for BSG. I think he'll bring trek back from the brink someday! enterprize sucks. its not trek... its werid off the time line. stupid sexy just SOOO UNTREK never have i watched it. NEVER WILL I WATCH IT I MEAN LOOK AT THE OPINING TITTLE FOR FUCK SAKE ITS ROCK MUSIC>>>> enterprize is what happens when they try to make trek for a "cool" audience" its over. And i'm happy.
