Struggling with making decisions........

decision making......the biggest challenge i have in my life i think. its a bugger.

i often find myself terrified of making decisions...

like i can choose eaither coke or pepsi no problem.

but making like the huge lifechanges decisions i find really difficult. espescially as i get older.

.....i wonder if any of you, have any tips or tricks to help you along and prepare for life's 'big' decisions.

if you do, id like to here one right about now....it would sure help :)

try not to listen to what others have to say lovey

sounds cliche, but take some deep soul search time and listen to you own self and whatever comes up is most likely the best for you

I've found that as I get older the challenges that present themselves tend to be so much more difficult and soul searching is key.

You are such a strong person and I trust that whatever it is that you are battling you will be able to decide on the best outcome for it all

The hardest and most worth while paths i've ever taken in life, (funny how 'hard' and 'worth while' go hand in hand eh?) have all come down sticking with what I've chosen.

It's always a compromise between what's best in the long term and what's good for you now. Anything you persue with enthusiasm and a bit of knowledge you'll do well in. Seriously.

Believe it or not, if i can't make a decision, more often then not it comes down to rock paper scissors or head and tails with my bro.

Im so serious about this, i have the same problem as you. For the more bigger issues i usually go into depth and find out the greatest details possible and if there is something in there that would sway me one way over the other.

For stuff like dinner and things, i have a problem figuring out what to order at a restaurant, i have my best friend do it for me, she usually chooses what she knows i would want.

i find it not so hard to make decisions as it is to act on them.

i'm a very indecisive person so i have many ways to help me make decisions..

- ask people for advice..(kinda make ppl make it for u)..

- isolation..go for a walk or take a bath and or just in a room by yourself..think about it..sometimes the answer comes around

- going on my first choice..(if i remember my first choice)

- doing a pros and cons list and deciding from that..

- completely avoiding the decision..sometimes it goes away..sometimes it doesn't

I like personal challenge so I tend to base my decisions on whatever path will be the most challenging, it is generally the most rewarding. Anything that will help take me to the next level in what I want to do is the choice I make.

the important decisions in life are supposed to be hard for us, that is what makes them important, after all.

finding exactly what you want is most of the battle, once you have that figured out, life can easily fall into place.

and how many of those can one possibly have to make in a lifetime?

like picking what to take in school or what job you wanna do is not life changing, you pick something you dont like it move on, you do like you can stick with it till your bored/something cooler comes along.

me too, always have to keep moving and improving.

i really dont have a hard time making life decisions, i've always had a pretty clear idea of what i want in life, even when i was very young id know id go to university, graduate, work hard, go to more school and become some sort of professional.

Just make sure the decision you make is good for the long haul, and not one you are making now because it is the easiest option.
