My friend is annoying me

One of my really good friends from work with whom I chill with all the time at work and after work has been annoying me lately. I've started noticing flaws in his character that he was hiding from me when I first met him.

One example is him constantly saying how he never bails out on things - yet lately he has always been coming up with excuses to bail out on things we are doing and those excuses are totally lame and half of them are even lies.

How do I deal with this? So far I've just been sucking it up and not saying anything but inside of me I get really annoyed by that kind of behavior.

Advice?

i've had that problem.
i never seem to be able to get over those pathetic little personality quirks once i notice them.
it's always something diffrent with each person too.
not like a pet peeve that some people have in common, no, it's like each person has an individual trait that gets me.

Nobody's perfect.

It's obviously a good idea to sort out the extremely lame, but you may find yourself smiling a lot more if you put a bit of energy into seeing the good in people too.

if he fails to do so, do one of two things:

1)drop him

or

2)give him a taste of his own medicine.
