So sad, I know. I've been partying at Plaza since porky pig was a piglet, and to be quite frank with you, I've partied all over the world and I have never seen a more unique venue than the plaza of nations. I also turned in the petition which I mentioned in the another thread, hopefully it does some damage towards the construction of the casino because of other financially viable options which I addressed to the city, but at this point, I'm affraid it won't have an impact, no thanks to others which stated "I told you so". Oh well, once again, if the casino project gets shot down like a luminating multi coloured japanese zero, then W00t! But if it does go thru, well, at least I tried. :)
I was also thinking, if a production company (one who has more paper than an oxford university librarian) could come up with the cash to buy a plot of land somewhere in the burbs, and licence it for events; that might be a practical alternative. How much attention it would attract regarding big name headliners is another question all together. I also feel that if the project was considered, that obvious considerations for expanding it would be taken into account. I think it would be cool "The House That FnK Built" Just a thought Cheers! i've been to a party at the vancouver public library. it was just as gorgeous as the plaza, just a whole lot smaller.

without plaza it wont be the same... exactly! 3 rooms thas PERFECT... for a massive that is... and where are u ever gonna find a bopppin theatre room like plaza man.... nuthing can compare to that one.... plaza is a klassic thas all i have to say.. too bad its gone now!:( this one is definetly in the book of good!
