Nice work Evolve. This party was a huge success. The turnout was massive and the breaking point wasn't till late 6am.

Great show Evolve.
Despite getting the wall twice, a few full out pat downs, drastic heat upstairs, the ridiculous id'ing in the pit, overall, i had a great time! N00f, i fuckin loved your set! Firewire made me realize that hard isn't all that bad! Definitely gave me a whole new view of hardstyle. |

Wicked venue, great set up, lovin the lazers... *Simon Paterson aka Dogzilla: Such a wicked guy, and man did he ever lay em down! :) *Ben & Jimmy: Hell effin ya! Well, what can I say that hasn't already been said? Yes, the heat was incredible. Despite ventilating that place all day and having two sets of doors open to the air all night, there was no proper cross-breeze to help circulate the air. Unfortunately that place wasn't built for concert-style events. While I heard alot of positive feedback for the venue, its unfortunately just not large enough or open to the air enough to be practical.
When compared to Riverside Banquet Hall, the budget is almost the same when factoring the added costs of covering up the carpets for the ENTIRE upstairs and then curtaining the whole thing off with sound curtains. We ended up having to turn away almost 200 doorsales because the capacity for that building just wasn't there and we had the police crawling all over us for the better part of the night. Must've been a slow night in Richmond. All the hiccups aside, I thought this ended up being a solid night. A big thank you to all the DJs who showed up for their sets and played the hell out of the Palace! The mainstage and house/speed garage stage were both packed from beginning to end which was outstanding. Gemini, GT, Project C and Dogzilla all did an amazing job and were a pleasure to be around. If you missed these guys then you missed out! Sorry to anyone I gave the brush off on Saturday, I wish I had more time to talk to you all, but as some of you saw, I was running around like mad from the time I got there until about 2AM. Such is the nature of the business. Thanks to everyone who lent a hand, worked the concession, coatcheck, door and helped with setup and teardown. You guys are the lifeblood of the rave and we couldn't do this without you. Thanks to all who came to the show. Thanks Atilla for reserving us some pre sale tickets at the door that was cool of you. This was my first Evolve party i'll have to check out the next one. Wicked Trance in the main room i enjoyed plus Jeff and Hirshee played a good set up stairs. Pat, you're lucky i was there to stop people from putting rediculous thing's on you considering you were to drunk to know better. haha Nice meeting some new people. Thanks again.:) |
