Sorry to hear about the mishap... From what I hear, the new Sonar owners (i.e. the ones who bought it about a year ago) are complete idiots who have no idea how to run a business. That's why PH-1/Vivid, Sanctuary, and some other reputable promoters who used to do regular weeklies there all pulled out their nights about a year ago when the ownership change occurred.

It is sad, because with the closure of Tokyo Lounge, and the sale of Gecko (new owners want live bands) and the new Sonar owners, there are not too many venues left to put on events anymore in Vancouver.

What a night! First and foremost I need to that Alla for everything she did last night. Between sorting out a booking fiasco, a live band that didn't get off the stage untill 10pm and a total bedshit of the sound system downstairs she managed to keep her demeanor, much respect.

On top of all of that she pretty much donated me a timeslot from 10-1230, this was one of the most selfless things I have a seen a DJ do in this city to date, even more respect!

Last but not least I need to thank everysinlge person who filled a scarce main room with enough nice bodies to make this night fun.

i drank a twixer of appleton estate then when i was making my way down to sonar i stopped at the liquor store for a six pack which i drank on the way... got to sonar then I ___________________________.

someone told me they were looking for me at sonar and the bouncers told them i left at 9:30 PM fucking wasted.....

fucking lol.
