Overall I thought it was a really good night. First, it was great how there was no long lineups at around 1000-1030. We basically walked right in the doors and didn't have to stand out in the shitty weather.
I thought B-Funk dropped a fucking awesome set (That Linkin Park remix of "Numb" is killer) and it was a great way to kick off the new year. Stoneface & Terminal played some sweet tracks...it was nice to hear "Flight 643" at a rave. I never thought that would ever happen. Unfortunately I didn't hear all of Blank & Jones set but I heard they didn't disappoint. All in all it was a pretty sweet night. Happy New Year! Last edited by *DekdOut*; Jan 02, 07 at 03:09 PM. |

Well, another year has gone by. I haven't been to a "party" in awhile and was great to see some old faces and a few new faces. Things haven't changed a bit, sketchy nammers doing there zombie dance. Breaks room too hot as usual and 3rd stage had the best music but too much light to really enjoy the music.
A decent show, main stage was the best I've seen at the PNE. Hopefully a new location will pop up. I'm sorry to say, but Vancouver needs a new venune. Something that can hold 6000+ and comfortably. Sitting in a room while Bassbin Twins go off and your sweating like a turkey is not fun. Blank and Jones and Anne Savage were meh. Time for a real DJ at a massive. Armand, Paul, Tiesto. Yes I know they were at clubs, and i went but i love the massive shows with huge amounts of fans going off. It's great. :D I enjoy dancing without having to stop because of the damn heat. GJ Solid. See ya'll in October, unless you guys have something up your sleeves for massives. ;) -Tim |

This was a sick new years party. i had a good set, hit the booze pretty hard tho. got a lot of stories about me being fucked and not making sense when i was talking and stuff. ended up losing my keys, cd deck, cell phone, camera, a t-shirt and a brand new hoody. Nedra found my keys in the stands, got home and my roommates had my cell, face plate, and camera. so in the end all i really lost was a shirt and hoody but the hoody was really important to me. anywas, i finally snapped out of it like 2 hours before the party ended and i remember dancing the whole time during stimmy and Josh's set.
now the second i walked in the door the first security gaurd says to me "i remember you... what the fuck is this!?" and he flicks my dj pass. im just like whatever... he grabs my record crate, and hands it to another security gaurd. the one checking my crate stands really tall in front of me and says "ya i remeber you too, your that guy last time who took the vest, ripped the sleeves off and fucked around." i said.. "uh huh that was me... sorry." then later after i finished my set, im walking with alisha and the head security gaurd that wouldn't allow me back in and dooms night walks over. "i see your back again... so someone was saying your telling people you didn't take the vest." and im thinking, holy fuck are you serious so i said to him "nope i havent talked about it since a week after it happened." he replies with "your lying..." i say No im not "yes you are your lying to me" and Alisha says "its over now can we just let it go" and the guys goes "no one was fucking talking to you!" then i just said "look, you guys grabbed me and threw me out last time, i learned my lesson, im not going to do it again and i would really just like to forget about it and leave it in the past." he just says Ok and turns around and walks away. i wasn't bothered anymore after that but i got the mad stare downs all night. but on the other hand i thought the cops were really nice and pretty cool all night. thanks to Solid for having me out again, everyone who came to watch me spin, i have been sorta changing my style a bit playing some really dark dirty breaks and it seems to be pretty well recieved by everyone... so to those that have heard it, im glad you liked it. i'll have some pics up soon. cya all at kiss! Wads better then dooms but i missed the lasers..
and could have used more bass in the main room BUT the music was too loud. Everyone who is sayiong yay they turned it up!! must be deaf... whenever i walked by those speakers that were mid way on the floor i had to plug my ears.. i swear if i hadnt i would have done some serious damage to my ears... they are still ringing.. and if any of you know why ears ring you know thats bad.. But all in all better then dooms , and the pacific room was the best ive ever seen it.. i actually spent a few hours in there.. Hatiras fucking rocked.. i walked up to one of the solid doods and asked him with my cellphones text to text in the djs name... haha Only thing i dint like about it was... To all Chemists, Dealers and Drug Tycoons who cut, have cut, or force people to cut E with meth. Fuck you. Sticking to pure gel caps next time for sure. These mix pills are just too unpredictable.. even when you try them.. A Friend of mine was on pure gel caps.. him and about 5 friends.. they were all plurry as shit.. it was dope.. But me yes i had a good time at the rave.. but the amount of crystal in the E i took has shown itself over the last 2 days.. i still can barely eat and have the occasional few hour long sketch out.. So i guess the only thing that dooms was better for then Solid NYE was the lasers, and the drugs i had.. cuz i had more or less pure E But Good party everyone it was crazy... Shoutouts to everyone i know who was there... sick as fuck!! |
