just got home from the party...its now 5:15am i cant believe im on here posting...anyways good party. decent music for the time i was there, took some pics ill post em later...highlights were definatly those little hot girls in the mini skirts!

Wow...what a letdown. I think I have just re-resolved to avoid Raverside like the plague. Why? The Gestapo-like atmosphere of the event. Yes, I realize drugs are illegal, and yes, I expect to be searched as I enter, and yes, I understand that if drugs are nonetheless smuggled in to use the uptmost discretion in their handling. Nonetheless, the security was far too aggressive, demanding to search people at random and, in at least one instance, telling people caught with goods that they better not take anything 'cuz they'd be tested later. It was worse than customs and made me feel like I was in prison, being watched like a hawk lest I pull a shank on someone while sitting in the yard. Hence my pet name for this party...Jailhouse Rock.
A secondary reason was the sardine-like feel of the venue, which made getting to and fro at times worse than navigating from one end of a bus to another during rush hour. Is someone seriously suggesting that the venue was within their legal capacity, after factoring in all the closed off areas? On the plus side, the music was generally good and I likley would have enjoyed it even more without the Big Brother and uber-crowded atmosohere. Other plus was the many kewl peeps I met...I honestly only remember one or two names and don't wan't to single anyone out and make someone else feel forgotten, but whoever among you are on F&K feel free to message. Bottom line, this had potential, just needed some friendlier security and either fewer people or a bigger venue. |

A huge thanks to Stan, the crew @ Uh-Oh and the Shy Brothers for putting on this show! Also, thanks again for giving Adam and I an awesome timeslot @ 11:45PM! -- I hope that we put on the show that people were looking to hear!
Those that heard it, what did you think of the set? Adam and I dropped a mix of new stuff, old UK funk and even an old school Michael Jackson House track! Feedback people!!! My opinion, and I am judging from everyone going off in the packed room, screaming, etc... we blew the roof off that place! -- In fact, starting with Adam and I, then Precise and then Marty McFly --- that was 4+ hours of some of the best Breaks that room has seen in a long time! I can't wait to read the replies and see the pics people were taking. |

OMG......such a fun night! had a blast. wanna send a huge thnx to stan + jimmy, and ben + mike! thnx for putting on a sick ass show! yeah had a blast playing @ a decent time......happy b-day ryan! we shoulda drank some more vodka! a ton of hotties @ the party too.....big ups on getting those porta-potties too, keeping the party going! and stan i never saw that hankerchief! i think im gonna have to kill u!

I thought the party was pretty good. Music upstairs was dope all night. Kraig, Adam and Ryan ripped shit up, thanx guys. Good vibe all around, security was a little harsh but what can ya do. Met some pretty cool people, saw lots of familiar faces. Overall i'd say it was a pretty good party......................i mean hey, at least it didn't smell like shit

pretty good party besides it was so fucking hot in the second room, pretty good music. we left after marty mcfly left so basically it was an all breaks party which was fun. they could of used some visuals in the second room however. kraig like stepped on a wire and cut all the power off or something i had a good laugh at that. and those girls in like bathing suits and booty shorts were nice too.

OMg I would have to say that "Insominia" had to be one of the better parties at riverside for me :)
Had a lil fuss bout getting in and everything but it all worked out in the end.... Kraig and Adam... HoLy ShYt!! 3 words for u guys : Awsome, Awsome, Awsome.. I loved every bit of it. Ryan: Happy B-day!!! mmmmmm the cake was good :PartEkid: I would have to say that the main room was going off hard. And grrrr those damn glowsticks.. LOL... they were everywhere... Lol going to the washroom in the men's... PRICELESS!!! hahahahaha althou I did find a camera so wooo hooo!! Yepp and then the whole washrooms flooding business...Geeze! Dont ppl know how to go to the washroom properly... !! But yea ... Jimmy.....,.. Loved ur whole set!!! I HAD AN AWESOMEEE TIME LAST NIGHT. i haven't flailed that much in a while and it felt soooo good. after a long night of working and listening to a broken hearted friend talk, i dropped by riverside around 12...and i was blownnnnn away! kraig and adam just gets better and better with the track selections! personally best set of the night....so impressed and so proud of them. (the last night billie jean mix....YUM! they play the original "last night" at my work and ill never get sick of it! so much fun) and the BIRTHDAY BOYYYYS both played really well..it was a treat! even the dude that played after marty mcfly..started off real slow with 2 step stuff then picked it up and was playing really good breaks with tons of bassline. AWESOME. oh man i was there for a long while, but i had a blast....no clue where all that energy came from. and yea chichi for blowing out the speaker. "but i want to be loud" lol. hmmm who else...de-ken... what can i say he has the dj presense DOWN..i dont care what he spins, but just the way he stands there he's fawking hot. :hehe: (woops)

staying up all night is now getting to me... its driving me a lil more insane each time :284: . but that was a dopeass night. met alotta new peeps, lotta sick poppers and lockers there and there was a friendly vibe going on in the place. i was all over it. good to see the fnk crew out, always a good time chillin wit you peeps, ken dope set brotha, next we'll catch you for the full 2 hours =) jimbowski werd up to the lizard and camisra! hahaha yeah! dope party. the place was packed and happening. the sound in the main room was pumpin that was some crazyass sound. mad props. |

What a sick night security was VERY gay doing checks out side. What can you do actually very pleased with the facilities usually not that nice at riverside party's man mario was throwing down some sick ass beats last night had me and my girl and my friends bumping the whole night thanks uh oh and shy!
