Super Duper job Dave and all those that put work into this party. I was seriously considering turning away when I saw that the line was not moving. But I'm glad I got in quick because the party was a lot of fun. It was just too cold to stand outside for a long time though. Lucky for us shaun managed to score some vip tickets from a friend. THANKS!!!!! Good music for the most part, too bad about technical difficulties in the smaller room. Sorry to Pink Bunny for hitting you in the boob! oops. hahaha got roped into making the sign again this year. I guess I was the only one that didn't know it was my job again this year. Lots of laughes though walking around with that. "FNK is a happy place where everyone loves each other, and people wear candy and spread plur!!! SO COME TO THE MEET!!!!!" I met a lot of people and I would do shout outs but I would forget people for sure and then someone would be sad and give me a sad smiley and then I would feel bad. So I decided to make a long winded excuse for not doing it. I'll say hi to a couple of the people I saw mention my name on here though clevich, prissy pants and jeaninah good to meet you. Soooo to the rest of the people I met. HI!!! Twas good chatting with you. :D David G rocked my socks. I was totaly considdering making off with one of his paintings. I loved how he had so much energy instead of just sitting there and painting. His gf was nice too. Anyway good times. Didn't dance a whole lot but I was aching the next day. Oh and Hardstylin good to see you. Sorry I didn't really chat since I was across the fence. I felt kinda like a dork not actualy starting a decent conversation except for some comment about porn lol. But hope you had fun none the less. And Tom your a funny kid you crack me up every time I see you at a party. As well as Long too. Best party I have been to in ages - AGROculture never disappoints!
Well I was a proud part of the deco team (NEV FUNFUN what?!), and let me tell you we had so much fun making that place look spiff for you all! Bev and I put TONS of time into the main room, and really there is only so much you can do. Second room was hella cozy. I think the whole place looked fab. Way to go Bev, Veni, Carrie, Alla and Natalia. FUNFUN gals, it was a pleasure!!
I mainly hung out in the second room. I loved Precise's set, and adored everything Sharaz threw down. OMG. He even played this bumping remix of Scribe's (a NZ hiphop artist) "Not Many" ("How many dudes you know roll like this, how many dudes you know flow like this? Not many, if any. Not many, if any. How many dudes you know got the skills to go and rrrrrrrrock a show like this? Uh uh, uh uh, I dunno anybody."). I nearly died with excitement, bc thus far NO ONE I've talked to in Vancity knows who Scribe is, as he hasn't crossed over into N.American hiphop (as far as I know). Sharaz said a buddy got him the track from overseas. Mmm... I had such a great time... Gooooood party!!! I danced quite a bit, but unfortunately I missed Garibaldi because I was waiting to harass Sharaz about that Scribe track. But mos def a very cool attraction to have at a party. I wouldn't miss is next time! And v.cool to have Midus out too. I know he and Matt were chatting, and it's always cool to have talent like that running around parties. Big ups to AGROculture and Bassline for keeping this fresh! To the people complaining (someone always will be), IT WAS A RIVERSIDE MASSIVE. Since when do you not hafta wait when you show up after 10pm? Haha... On a better note, SO GOOD to see Riverside back in use. I got all kinds of memories flooding back from 2000. Aww... Goodtimes! Was lovely seeing all my favourite ppl and getting down with them on the dance floor. Nice meeting (sorry if I only remember your fnk name): Alla, Natalia, Ivan, Matt (lights/sound guy), Jeaninah, Clevich, Lauren (Kandy Apple), Prissypants, Berta, Ricey and I'm sure I'm forgeting some people.
